Gus The Bus

Gus the Bus is a fully rebuilt and restored Toyota Coaster, with everything you need for your camping adventures! Gus comes with a beautiful kitchen space, plenty of storage, wardrobes, an outdoor kitchen, great lighting, an awning, extra comfortable queen sized bed, with the most beautiful linen and pillows for the best of sleeps. He is also fully air conditioned as well as having 3 indoor fans to keep you super cool on your travels. You can drive Gus with a normal C Class Drivers License. He is a 6 speed manual and quite easy to drive as long as you take it slow when parking and reversing. Gus will happily coast on the freeway at 100km hour. We request prior experience driving a manual and no one under 25 as the bus is 22 feet long and weighs 4.5 tonnes. Gus is your home on wheels. Think Airbnbus! We have fully stocked the kitchen with everything you might need for your camping adventure. Cutlery, cooking utensils, plates, cups, wine glasses, kettle, toaster, gas stove top (for outdoor use), frying pans, pots, cutting board/serving tray, Coffee Pod Machine with Milk Frother, as well as camping chairs, picnic rugs, outdoor tables and side table. Gus also has an above ground fire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallows. We have a medium sized fridge freezer and pantry for storing food essentials during your trip. We have stocked the pantry with some basics like oil, salt, pepper, herbs, tea, coffee, coffee pods etc for your convenience. Once inside, you can chill on one of 2 ultra comfortable lounge areas, or set up for indoor dining with a dining table and 2 chairs. Gus the bus will accomodate 2 people and a dog. We have set up a cartridge toilet which is hidden and slides out when needed. It’s easy to clean and perfect if you are caught short! Gus the Bus also comes with an outdoor shower to rinse you and your pooch off after a day at the beach. (cold water only). We supply bath towels, tea towels and beach towels as well as all the bed linen including extra blankets. Talking of pooches, we are fully set up for your furry family member with a doggie bed, bowl and some special treats to welcome your dog on their next family holiday. We prefer you take Gus to a powered site – we supply a 15m extension lead and you can hook up to town water to refill our 50 litre tank. However, for off grid adventures, Gus does have solar panels and internal batteries that will hold power once disconnected from mains. Everything but the air conditioning will still work off grid. You can charge phones, computers and make tea and toast, where ever you might be. We are located 20 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta or we can drop to you for an additional fee.
