Ann 4.5Ivan was great. We have a lovely weekend and a safe journey there. The campervan requires some work. Basin wont stay in position the toilet didnt work the battery went flat in one day with very little use. The water didnt heat up. But still a wonderful weekend.
Amanda 4.5We had a great time in the van :) It was all set up and easy to drive, it was our first time in a motorhome but I'm sure won't be our last.
Rebecca 5.0This was a fantastic hire! Ivan could not have been more helpful... meeting us on site to go through the van prior, and remaining on call for the duration of the trip for any questions we had. He was super accommodating, and the van was everything it said it was. Worth pointing out the single negative review on this page doesn't fit with the experience we had at all.

Rodney 5.0Was smooth and easy transaction. Did all my communication with Ivan and it was perfect. Quick to respond. The RV was setup nicely and had everything we needed. Easy to drive. Would highly recommend.

Holly 1.0Dear Ivan and Shona, Owners of Belle of Byron, I just hope you both know how much trauma, distress and grief this hiring experience has caused me. Hiring a broken leaking van that is damaged, dirty, ants and cockroaches. I came into this with goodwill and also left the Campervan immaculate on drop-off. Ive stayed in communicative relation the whole timewithout any response from you. The owner said to me before hiring the van that they would be in touch from Darwin with any questions I had, then none of my questions were answered. Even how to work the television. Which is part of the amenities. I havent even received a thank you for how clean I left the van and showing up on time. And about thatthe owner didnt meet at the allocated time at 5 pm on Sunday for the key-handover. I was left waiting in a cold and dark carpark. Now they are trying to make me look like the person whos wrong by having the keys, however the owner did not respond to meeting in person at all (in fact - zero response) and I got an email later last night asking for a drop off in a letterbox which according to the police is still not safe, but this is Camplifys rules. Id been waiting for contact about a personal key-handover. Not so hard. We live in the same neighbourhood. I didnt want to leave them in an unsafe place and Ive been waiting for a physical handover for two days. Then I get a call from Camplify this morning saying if I don't 'drop the keys off' wherever the owners want them (they do not want to meet in person and be accountable, or have a discussion) then I will be charged with 'stealing' the campervan (I left it where they asked me to at the time! I don't have the car! I just wasn't going to leave keys in an unlocked car! I've talked to the police about it, who have been supportive, and they said if there was damage to the vehicle, I would be liable for damages if I left the keys in an unlocked car in the carpark. I am also dubious about leaving it in a public mailbox). This accusatory call from Camplify, saying the owners stated I am "withholding" the keys, when I've been waiting for ANY message to meet for a handover!!! I live around the corner!!! I have only done the right thing. A refund is an apppropriate response to this situation. Of course, there has been no offer of one. And now I have to do all this paperwork to process my complaints. I will put the keys in the letterbox today as requested at the golf club letter box, however this will be escalated to fair trading nsw and beyond, if necessary. Absolutely a devastating experience. Where are your social ethics and conscience? Or goodwill? I feel so violated by this. We are a community and we need to be able to talk about issues - kindly and diplomatically, rather than avoid them and not face what the issues are and have been. I have not been rude. I have not been abusive or disagreeable. I have just been desperate for response and help. I really dont understand you and why you have done this to me. Nor does anyone else in my Byron Bay community whom I have discussed this with. I have lived here for 32 years and have a strong network of wonderful people who support me in my life. Everyone is being really empathic about this experience (and they keep asking me if Ive got a refund, which I reply, Forget about that for now- Im still waiting to hear about a key handover). There kindness helps, after feeling completely scammed and burnt by this experience. I trusted you. Sure, you had good reviews, but what about the girls who apparently damaged your van before I hired it? Where is their review? Why didnt you give me the option of NOT hiring a damaged vehicle? Maybe when things go wrong, thats not okay with you. And maybe things simply havent gone wrong until now, and you just cant deal with it. Which is sad. Because as I said before, we are a community and we need to be able to talk about things when they go wrong, because they do sometimes. And Shona, youre not the only one going through health problems. I have an appointment at John Flynn Hospital - funnily enough- next Wednesday for my cancer (yes, again I have proof). But no, you wouldnt care about what Im going through. Its just about you guys. Im so hurt. Ill never hire through this platform again and will tell people not to hire this vehicle. What else can I do? I dont want anyone else to go through what Ive gone through with this. Its too upsetting.
