Travel Allowance & Fees: Included Distance: Enjoy up to 200km of travel per day included in your hire. Extra Distance Charge: Should you travel between 200km and 400km in a day, a modest charge of $0.70 per km applies. For adventures that take you beyond 400km a day, the charge is $2.00 per km. Calculation: We calculate this at the end of your journey, averaging the km per day. For example, if your round trip is 1000km over 5 days, that's 200km/day, so no extra fee! Fuel & Gas Policy: Fuel: Please return the van with a full tank of diesel. If not, a $30.00 service charge plus the cost of fuel will be added. Gas Bottles: We provide a full gas bottle, and replacements are your responsibility (around $25.00/bottle). It's rare but might be needed for longer hires. Remember to detach the magnetic monitoring device from bottles to avoid a $100.00 replacement fee. Cleanliness & Maintenance: Condition: Return the van as lovely as you found it. Toilet: Please empty and clean the portaloo before returning to avoid a $200.00 cleaning surcharge. Usage: Off-road driving is off-limits without approval. Also, avoid using the diesel heater with the engine running and please, no urinating in the shower - it's noticeable and incurs a deep cleaning fee. Tracking & Safety: We use GPS for safety and an Airtag on keys for peace of mind (feel free to remove it, but lost keys are costly!). Rules & Responsibilities: Prohibitions: Smoking or vaping inside or near the van is not allowed. Tolls & Fines: These are your responsibility, with a $50.00 processing fee per incident for fines. Driving Courtesy: Please adhere to road rules and respect speed limits as monitored. Return Policy: Deadline: The van should be back by 5 pm on your last hire day (flexibility upon prior agreement). Let us know your expected return time. Preparation: Refuel and clean the van inside before returning to avoid additional charges. External cleans are only required in exceptional cases (if unsure, message us!). We aim for these policies to ensure a great experience for both you and future hirers. Hiring rules

• 1. No offroad or beach driving.
• 2. No extended driving on gravel roads.
• 3. Limited driving on unsealed roads must be preapproved in writing (in Camplify Messages) before the trip begins.
• 4. No smoking inside.
• 5. Pets are considered on a casebycase basis.
• 6. No festivals.
• 7. Hirers over 24 years old only.
• 8. Vehicle (including all doors, windows and sunroof), must be closed before bad weather arises. Apps (such as Willy Weather), offer realtime weather alerts.
• 9. Vehicle must be returned cleaned, or you’ll risk a cleaning fee.
• 10. When cooking inside the van, you must:
• a) ensure the vehicle is securely parked on a flat surface.
• b) have adequate ventilation, including operating the vent, and drawing air from inside to outside the vehicle.
• c) act immediately according to instructions if either the carbon monoxide or smoke alarm is triggered.
• 11. Any damage must be reported immediately – who, what, where, and when will be required.
• 12. Pull over immediately if any engine lights come on. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, and call Camplify on 1300 416 133 – they will advise on how to contact roadside assistance. Then call me.
• 13. Payment of a deposit is required within 48 hours of your booking being approved. Otherwise, I may cancel your booking.
• 14. The hirer is responsible for all tolls. This is determined after the vehicle is returned.
• 15. Limit of 200km per day (average out over booking length). A 70 cents per kilometre surcharge applies for distances between 200km and 400km. For distances exceeding 400km per day, the charge is $2.00 per kilometre.

  Literally like living on a house with wheels, we did not go without everything that you could possibly need is supplied and everything has already been sorted out for you. Nathans communication is amazing his response time is within seconds, and was always happy to help. Would definitely hire with Nathan again

  We had a wonderful time on a nine night journey up the coast to Sawtell and back. We were especially impressed with the solar panels that kept us going for days without needing to plug in. This was the perfect van for our first vanlife adventure and we would definitely hire this van again!

  We recently the roaming retreat camper van from Nathan and Lucy, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The van was fully equipped for off-grid camping, with everything we needed for a comfortable and hassle-free adventure. It was a dream to drivesmooth, easy, and a pleasure to navigate. The shower was incredible, offering hot water and plenty of space to feel refreshed after a day of exploring. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, ensuring we slept soundly every night, and there was plenty of storage for all of our gear. One of the biggest highlights was that they allow pets, which meant our 13-year-old Stafford, who is partially blind, could join us on our trip. It made the whole experience even more special to have our furry friend with us. Nathan and Lucy were absolutely lovely to deal withso accommodating and understanding when we needed a last-minute hire due to technical issues with our original booking. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us, and we couldnt have asked for better service. Overall, we had an amazing time, and we highly recommend hiring from Nathan and Lucy for anyone looking for a well-equipped, comfortable camper van experience!

  This was my first solo trip/adventure as a Widow and the Roaming Retreat is absolutely beautiful and so livable. Inside the van it has everything you need for a trip away. The bed is so comfortable and with air coming through the skylight at night its the perfect way to see the Milky Way!! A lazy afternoon on the bed is so relaxing so just leave the back doors open to watch the world go by. So easy to drive on open road and again easy in the city traffic. The best is the shower and little camp toilet for women travellers on their own, no leaving the van during the night. Lots of storage space for your clothes/makeup. The fridge size is perfect for 1. Nathan was so accomodating and friendly, and I am already planning my next trip in the RR again. PS Wish it was mine :)
