"Frankie" The Retro RV, resides in the beautiful seaside hamlet of the Historic Catherine Hill Bay. “Catho” is the perfect location to begin your adventure. Conveniently located 90 mins north of Sydney, 35 minutes south of Newcastle and just 50 minutes from the beautiful Vineyards of the Hunter Valley. Frankie is a 1960 Split screen Kombi meticulously restored for uncompromised reliability. She has roof top air-conditioning, to keep you cool in summer and cozy in winter. With USB and Wireless charging you will always be ready for any adventure. Explore the trails or beaches on the optional Fat Tyre EBike. Upon your return from the days activities unwind using her coffee machine, Bluetooth stereo or Smart TV all included. Pull a refreshing beer or wine from the fridge, fix a meal in the modern kitchenette, recline under the awning and play card games or read your favourite book. All you need to do is just find your dream location to sit back, relax and soak in the atmosphere. As per insurance conditions travel is permitted on well maintained access roads less than 10 kilometres in length that are used for access to recognised camping grounds. Any damage from off-road usage will be at the cost of the hirer. Hiring rules

• * NO Smoking of any substances
• * NO drink or drug driving
• * Strictly Pets on request.
• * Vehicle must be returned clean and in a respectful condition both inside and out. Cleaning fee may apply
• * Full tank of unleaded fuel on return (NO E10)
• * Due to Insurance conditions Hirer must be over 25 years of age and unrestricted licence
• * NO off road or beach driving. See insurance conditions for clarification
• * UNSEALED ROADS must be pre approved in writing via Camplify messages before the commencement of the hire.
• *Frankie has very low ground clearance. All speed humps and driveways must be approached at an angle and at low speed to avoid undercarriage damage
• * LONG TRIPS Hirers are welcome to take the van up to an average of 200kms a day included in the normal booking price. Excess travel will be charged 50cents per kilometre at the completion of your trip from your bond.
• * EMERGENCY If any engine light comes on the dashboard, pull over immediately.
• If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify 1300 416 133
• They will then call the NRMA on your behalf, then call Bruce 0412283740
• * DAMAGE If damage occurs you must report it immediately: Who, What, Where & When.

  We had such a fabulous time in Frankie. Starting with communication with Bruce , pick up & drop off was so easy . Frankie was super fuel efficient and contained so many inclusions like towel & beach towels. & the air con for night time sleeping was a bonus. The bed was super comfy too. Cruising around the coast in Frankie is something we wont forget If you want a fun fabulous time Frankie is for you.

  Highly recommended! Enjoyed a very special time in a very nicely appointed stylish retroRV, with everything you need and more. Being such a unique and attention getting vehicle felt a bit like celebrities whereever we went. Great nostalgia value for former Kombi owners, fun being back in the saddle.

  We had a wonderful 3 day weekend with Frankie. Bruce gave us good suggestions on where to go and we ended up booking 2 nights at Fingal Bay which was just lovely. Bruce also gave us a good tip - the VW Fest was in town last weekend so we did an impromptu stop and enjoyed it very much. My husband drove Frankie without any problems and really enjoyed the drives. We just had the loveliest time with Frankie, she was a dream! She was the star at the holiday park and people just had to come say hi, which made for some great chats with lots of different folk. The interior was beautifully decorated and really well equipped from a coffee machine to a mini outdoor speaker :) We cooked a couple of meals and it was all very easy for city folk like us. Will definitely do this again!

  We enjoyed 3 days with Frankie cruising around the coast. The van was a dream and fitted with everything you need. Frankie got so much attention and smiles from strangers
