Hiring rules

• WHAT'S OURS IS YOURS Our van is maintained and kept in great condition, so please respect it. Use it and enjoy it but treat it like it's your own!
• DELIVERY/DROPOFF SERVICE Selftows are welcome, provided you have a suitable tow vehicle. Alternatively, we can transport it to your chosen location, including setup and packdown @ $4.00/km plus setup fee depending on how far away it is. Please ask us for quote with details of your booking location and timeframe.
• WHAT IS A SERVICE FEE? The fee is a small contribution towards our costs of each hire including things like; kitchen consumables, bathroom consumables, gas, prehandover clean and safety check. The service fee doesn't cover things like mud, sand or salt nor does it cover the return of a toilet that hasn't been emptied. If you do not wish to clean the sand/mud off the van (interior & exterior), you can opt to pay the $100.00 'clean the van for me' option or the $200.00 option 'clean the van for me including toilet'. If you breach these simple house rules, the fees will be recovered from your bond.
• NO OFFROAD PLEASE NO Beach Driving / NO Gravel Roads. This is strictly an onroad van. To ensure unsealed roads are not used the Hirer must provide an itinerary prior to taking the caravan and be aware a GPS from Camplify tracker is installed. Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of insurance coverage.
• EMERGENCIES If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe and call 000 if necessary. Then call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they call the RAC. Then call me on 0405 159 281.
• SMOKING ISN'T ALLOWED Sorry but no smoking is allowed inside or seated outside the van. If you smoke, this is not the caravan for you. An excess cleaning charge of $100.00 will be payable by the Hirer if the caravan smells like cigarette smoke.
• ONBOARD TOILET The Hirer must clean out the toilet at approved dump points. It is strictly a liquid waste toilet only, no poos are allowed otherwise a canister replacement fee of ~$220.00 will be charged. (Price based on purchase price from Perth New Age dealership).
• DAMAGE If damage occurs, we just ask that you report it to us as soon as possible so we can determine the next best step. We might ask for photos for insurance claims and things like who, what, where and when about the incident. We will contact our insurance and discuss with you if any excesses are payable. We recommend you increase your Camplify liability excess to give you peace of mind.
• CLEANING THE VAN Please return the van in a cleaned condition, both inside and out as you found it. Excessive cleaning required by us will incur a $100.00 cleaning charge. Do not use a high pressure hose on the exterior. When cleaning the exterior do not spray water into the exterior ventilation grills. Please be aware cleaning inside and out can take a couple of hours.
• AWNING & PRIVACY SCREENS To prevent damage and costly insurance fees, the awning and privacy screens must be packed away in strong winds and bad weather. Even if its the middle of the night it's worth the effort because they do tear easily.
• DRIVING TIME Night towing comes with additional risks and is not recommended. Avoid driving especially at dawn and dusk. Tow only at reasonable hours during the day.
• WEATHER Avoid driving in storms or strong wind conditions. Whilst we recommend against it where possible, the caravan can drive in the rain. Strong winds can cause an increase in caravan sway potentially resulting in a fatal crash. Watch your weather and plan ahead. Download the BOM Weather App from the app store to keep ahead of it all.
• TOWING SPEEDS Do not drive faster than posted speed limits and never exceed 100km/h even under good conditions. Arrive alive.
• GAS BOTTLES Do not replace gas bottles or have them refilled. They are a specific style/brand that fit in our caravan toolbox. If you run out of gas in both tanks call us for advice.
• STAYING OFFGRID (This means without connecting to power or water sources not driving offroad). If you want to stay off grid let us know and we can fill the water tanks for you (220L). Be aware it also adds to the caravan weight and impacts driving conditions.
• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.
