Previous owners were a lovely Italian couple whose pride and joy was this camper. We felt the name had to stay. MARE is the greatest budget camper van which has been on many adventures - now it’s your road trip of a lifetime! If you are travelling solo, as a couple or as a group. This budget camper is cheap and cheerful and does the job. MARE was purchased off the original owner, so it's been looked and cared for since birth and well looked after. MARE’s layout/ design is awesome, with the high roof you can easily stand inside if you need to cook when it rains. Also when you are laying in bed there is lots of space above you so you won’t be feeling claustrophobic. Unlike a lot of other campers (which just have the bed inside and you just have to lay down) our camper is super functional with the perfect layout. Chill on the two sofas/ table set that face each other enough for a group of 5 or 6 to play cards, eat and have a wine/beer all in comfort. At night it easily folds up into a super comfortable double bed. It really is a game changer being able to sit inside and not out all of the time on those windy/ cold nights. MARE has professionally fitted curtains all around which offer full privacy. MARE is super easy to drive and is nice a smooth which wont annoy on those long trips, she even has back up sensors. An awesome moveable cooker so that you can take wherever you want to cook infront of the beach or off the back of the camper. Fridge, sofa & table set up that folds into a big comfy double bed. Fridge can move around too so that you can place it near the front on those long drives, meaning you can reach around to grab stuff out easily. On those hotter nights you have a roof vent which allows the fresh air to breeze through along with a hanging fan to direct. With an extra 3 man tent, everyone can sleep – 2 in the bed (3 at a squeeze) and the rest in the tent/ spare room that connects to the camper. The camper has everything you could possibly need with loads of storage, meaning you don’t have to constantly have all your belongs in the way. The smart electrics mean everything will run off the other battery - the fridge will always keep running :) no need to drive around to charge the batteries. Perfect for off the grid camping for 2-3 days without having to move. To cook you can either pull the drawer out of the back and is under the back door (if its raining) or most people sit under the under, and cook off the tables outside. Double cooker/ stove, utensils etc include pans, plates, bowls, cutlery, cups etc, an extra table and chairs, little simple solar shower incase you are somewhere without showers or at a beach that doesnt have them, extra water containers, USB points for charging and of course fairy lights inside and outside for those special nights. So what are you waiting for? If you want something thats going to do the job on a budget then MARE will give you an adventure and create those memories! **THIS CAMPER CAN ALSO BE HIRED ONE WAY** if hired for a long length of time. For example drop off in Cairns can be sorted. Please contact before booking to check. - Normally flexible on pick up/ drop off times (unless hired out on the same days). - All hires include insurance options through Camplify. Select what works for you :) - Long bookings accepted - There is easy parking if you want to leave your car upon pick up. - Extra battery and water for off-grid camping - Pet friendly - Festival friendly - Bedding can be provided on hire as additional fee or feel free to bring yours along. We can include all pillows, duvet, sheets. Towels not included

Hiring rules

• AGE Hirer must be 21 years of age or older and be in possession of a full driving licence. Please check with camplify about international driving licenses if overseas.
• CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT These times are flexible. Let us know your preferred times and we will do our best to accommodate you.
• TOLLS Tolls to be calculated on the return of the van. Either sorted by bank transfer after trip or taken from bond with camplify
• EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they call the NRMA. Then call us!
• MANUAL – Must be proficient in driving a manual car
• DAMAGE Please let us know of any damages/issues as soon as possible so we can help rectify. Just be honest right away, we just need to make sure it's perfect for the next hirer. No worries.
• NO OFFROAD / NO Beach Driving / NO Extended Gravel Roads/ NO Smoking inside
• UNSEALED roads must be preapproved in writing in Camplify Messages before the trip begins. Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of insurance coverage.
• AWNING must be packed away before bad weather arises, strong wind. Should be fully dry before packing away.
• LONG TRIPS 200 km's a day is included in the booking price. You will be charged 75c ($0.75) per kilometre for additional km travelled over the total allowance. This is calculated within camplifys pre/post hire checklist
• FUEL Return full of PETROL All hires include a full tank upon departure. We advise only fueling from Caltex/Shell/BP due to previous experience with poor fuels from United and Unbranded. Usually put 95 or 98 or even 91
• CLEANING The hirer must return the van in the same condition as when collected. Excessive cleaning will incur a charge.
• NO SMOKING in the van

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

This van definitely has its quirks. It did the job/has everything you need but comfort levels were a little underwhelming and the inside organisation of the space was a bit clunky. Its on the older side but great for a short budget trip/camp out and even better for festivals. Definitely no more than 2 people for this one!

We had the best time in this van. Was everything we needed however the van was a lot more used than we expected including some mould present inside the van and general wear n tear. We were required to pull over a few times while going uphill, due to the motor heating so be prepared for a slower journey. Otherwise, the van was perfect. We lived off grid for 7 days and had no trouble with the fridge. Communication from Miggy and Dave was easy. Great experience, would hire again, thanks guys :)
