Special towing information

Towing mirrors must be used and clip-on mirrors can be supplied with the van. Minimum tow-vehicle requirements is 3.3T. Ideal tow vehicle would be minimum 3.5T towing capacity and GCM 6T (we have a Mazda BT-50 - other suitable vehicles may be Ford Ranger, Landcruiser 100/200 series, Amorak etc). You will need your own brake controller - we have a Red Arc Tow Pro installed and that works great. We also provide a 2inch hitch to fit to your towbar that has the required DO35 Hitch coupling comes with Hayman Reese Weight Distribution System if required. Tow plug setup required of the tow vehicle - 7 pin plug - grey anderson plug for fridge (optional - usually with isolator) - red anderson plug from ESC - must be directly powered from your vehicle battery - 4pin connection for wired camera, screen provided (optional - tow vehicle requires wiring) Minimum licence requirements is Open Licence, and have experience with towing, no night driving/towing.

Hiring rules

  • Hirer must handover the caravan clean (inside & out), with the toilet emptied and rinsed. All items (excluding linen) to be washed and put back into place otherwise a $100.00 cleaning fee will be charged.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the van
  • Hirer (person towing the vehicle) must be 25 years of age or older.
  • No pets
  • If used, toilet cassette must be emptied and cleaned. Cleaning fee of $150.00 applies if not emptied and cleaned on return.
  • Awning must be packed away before bad weather arises (we will run you through this at pick up)
  • Service fee This fee covers the costs of each hire including restocking of kitchen & bathroom items, 2 filled gas cylinders, prehandover clean and safety check. The service fee doesn't cover things like the clean up of mud, sand or salt or the emptying of a used toilet cassette.
  • Minimum stays apply during peak periods. Rates vary as per the following:
  • OFF PEAK RATE: $110.00/day (all dates excluding below)
  • PEAK RATE: $120.00/day (school holidays, long weekends and events)
  • Minimum 3 day booking for all selftows
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
