Samson is a lovingly restored, completely self-sufficient, vintage pop top campervan. He is named after the ancient Hebrew hero which translates to 'man of the sun'. Samson is uniquely handcrafted and full of character. He includes stylish and unique interiors and has all the modern amenities that will make your adventures cosy and comfortable. His versatile design includes a 1.5m pull out table and storage area, which enables you to make the most of the sunny days outside and still has full functionality inside for rainy days. He is also fitted with a modern V6 engine and has plenty of power and reliablity to get you to your destinations! We have a 200km average daily travel limit to help preserve our vintage campervans. We offer discounts for bookings longer than 14 days*. This will be manually applied after we approve the booking. We have free parking on our property and our location is conveniently situated in Brisbane (15 mins from Brisbane CBD). We offer flexible pick up (anytime after 8am) and drop off (anytime until 5pm) times. We are also festival and pet friendly! Please note the airport delivery fee includes return transfer. We unfortunately do not offer one way trips. We love nothing more than seeing our vans out on amazing adventures and happy campers creating life long memories on the road!   • Please return van with a full tank of PETROL.
  • No off road/ beach driving, extended gravel roads.
  • No smoking in the van.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Samson is an absolute beaut of a camper and we honestly couldnt recommend him enough. We had an epic week! Its really well designed and has everything you need. Its great fun to drive and the new engine chews through the kms without any issues. Off grid ability was awesome for setting up in remote campsites and just enjoying being bush. Joe is also super friendly and great to deal with.

    We had such a great weekend with Samson! The design made it super easy to snap lots of beautiful photos. The van is comfortable, clean and well equipped: we definitely recommend it!

    Amazing! Old van so take in account some extra time and slow moving...was perfect for us also with a baby!! Joe was there for all we needed at any time! Would definitely rent from them again

We are Joe and Eunice Hurley - a married couple from Brisbane, Australia.  In mid 2018, we quit our jobs, sold most of our belongings and flew to London, where we bought a vintage 1988 Fiat Ducato van. We renovated the interiors and then travelled all over Europe for 13 months in what was the road trip of our lives. We clocked over 31,000km and experienced the European continent in all its seasons. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to start a vintage campervan rental idea when we got home so that more people can experience the amazing adventure and freedom that comes with vanlife. This is when Ventured Campers was born. Living a simple and adventurous life on the road without having to compromise on the cosy comforts of home. We hope to inspire others to venture out and explore Australia in one of our rolling homes.
