Carmela is a dreamy affordable van perfect for just about any road trip. Custom ply-wood fit out done by myself (with some expert assistance from my dad), she is my pride and joy. Super comfortable foam double mattress, blackout curtains, full kitchen and fridge, auxillary battery for powering electric appliances and charging devices, all in a compact van that is very fuel efficient and drives like a standard car. She has facilitated some great trips so far and many memorable moments - I hope you get to enjoy some too!

Additional information

Would prefer if you can provide your own linen, otherwise I can supply for a cost of $25.00 (please include this in additional extras). Can also help out with surfboards, wetsuit, bikes, and any other camping gear you might need (just ask). Drivers aged 21 and over are allowed to hire, provided you have a full license!

Hiring rules

Please return the van in the same condition it was received it doesn't need to be spotless, just clean enough for the next user. If the van needs extensive cleaning (vacuuming, scrubbing etc), the cleaning fee of $60.00 will be applied after the van is returned.
It is not an offroad van gravel roads are OK driving slowly, no 4WD tracks.
If you drive on a toll road you will need to purchase a day pass (easy to do on the Linkt website).
Please bring back with similar amount of fuel (DIESEL) as you began with.

Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $90.00 per day
Service fee: $50.00

Cancellations

Flexible

Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

me and my friend had the best time in the van. we did 3 days up the Great Ocean Road and the van was everything we needed and more! super easy to drive and very comfortable. Jimmy is a great host, would recommend to anyone!

Van was really adorable, easy ride, comfy and just a joyous little experience! Jimmy was overall a nice and friendly fellow. Everything was simple and easy to figure out. I camped outback in Captains Flat and ended up staying in the bush for three days. With this little camper van, I was able to go everywhere quite easily. Am bound to return again!
