🔗 DO35 Hitch – This van comes with a DO35 hitch, so please remove your tow bar tongue before pickup. I’ll supply the matching DO35 hitch and tongue, ready to go. 🔌 12-Pin Plug & Brake Controller – The caravan is fitted with a 12-pin plug and electric brake controller. If you have a 7 pin trailer plug, the sway control system can not be actionned and you will be charged for the use of the optional elec brake controller and 12-7 pin converter. 🔋 Anderson Plug – There’s also an Anderson plug for 12V input to the DC-DC charger, keeping the battery topped up while you’re on the move.

Hiring rules

  • 🚭 No Smoking – Please don’t smoke inside or near the caravan, and keep it clear of any fires or smoke sources. If the canvas comes back with a smoke smell, we’ll need to have it professionally detailed and pass on the cost.
  • 🎒 Luggage – Soft bags only inside the van, please! No hardshell cases, bikes, or boards — they can easily damage the interior.
  • 🧽 Keep It Clean – We ask that the caravan is returned clean and in the same great condition you picked it up. Extra cleaning (inside or out) will incur a $99.00 per hour cleaning fee.
  • 🚻 Toilet – Please make sure the toilet is emptied and cleaned before returning the van.
  • 🛣️ Road Use – Stick to sealed roads unless we’ve agreed otherwise beforehand.
  • 🎉 No Parties – Sorry, no parties or large gatherings in or around the caravan.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Peter was great. Sent a very detailed video on how to use the van and gave me a very through walk through. He was also responsive for any questions over the weekend He has a very clean and well looked after camper. We cant wait to take it back out.

    Our family had a great Easter weekend away in Peter's van. It was easy to use and setup! Handover was a breeze and when away if we couldnt find something, Peter would reply very quickly so that it did not impact our holiday. I would highly recommend Peter and his Trail Haven!

    We had a great time away with the caravan. Peter made sure we were well prepared by giving a thorough walkthrough and tips for the trip. The caravan is all you need for a family with two kids and very comfortable with off grid capabilities.

    Fantastic van. Very clean, almost new and had everything we needed. Peter gave us an excellent handover and was available for any questions we had while on our trip. We would definitely hire this van from Peter again.
