OFF-ROAD USE: Yes, this unit can be taken off road with prior approval - depends on your itinerary - there are some no go zones. Please note your itinerary in your booking request. You will need a heavy-duty air compressor and tyre gauge to correctly deflate tyres to suitable pressures and reinflate when returning to bitumen roads. If you do not own one, we can supply a unit for hire. Please note: you are liable for any damage incurred off-road, including scratches, stone damage, and overheated shock absorbers. The latter typically arises from not adjusting tyre pressures or not driving to suit corrugated conditions, so care and caution are essential. For added protection, we recommend using a spotter to guide you into tight or bush campsites to help avoid accidental damage. SERVICE FEE: As part of our premium service, The Dirt Off Road Campers carry out mechanical check & inspection after each hire to keep it in top condition. The service fee is a once-off fee per hire. ADDITIONAL INCLUSIONS: Unlimited kms included per week, within reason. Electric Brake Controller if needed. National NRMA 24/7 Priority support. HIRING CONDITIONS: No smoking in and around the van. Hirer must be 25 years of age or older with a full license. CLEANING: The Dirt Iconic E4 must be returned in the same clean condition as it goes out, both inside and out. A hassle free drop off is available at additional cost if you would prefer not to undertake the cleaning – see “Extra Products” at time of booking. Campers returned dirty will have the cleaning fees applied. If you have any questions, please ask.

Hiring rules

• Additional Hire Conditions
• Pets: Non shedding dogs may be considered upon request. Please provide the age and breed of your dog with your booking.
• Driver Requirements: Hirer must be at least 25 years old and hold a current Full driver’s licence. Must have previous camper trailer/caravan towing experience, this is essential.
• Smoking & Fire Safety: Smoking is strictly prohibited in or around the camper. Campsites must be set up a safe distance from campfires to avoid any damage to paint or awning from flying sparks.
• Stone Protection: A Stone Stomper is supplied and must be fitted and used at all times during hire. Failure to do so may result in charges for stone damage repair.
• Diesel heater/hot water system: the camper goes out with a full tank of diesel. It must be returned full.

• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

  There are two particular things that rate additional mention. Firstly, the van is supplied with pretty much everything that you need to go away with and start your holiday. The supplied items are first class in terms of quality and make the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Secondly the handover provided by the team was exceptional. All items on the van were explained to me in great detail and I felt that I had a really good understanding of the van operation. Additionally, when we went to hook the van to my vehicle and had issues (Volkswagen and their ingenious trailer checking system!), the team conducted fault-finding of the vehicle to ensure that I could tow the van safely with all lights functional. Note that the issues encountered were completely within my vehicle. Would I hire from Mike and team again... absolutely.

  Absolute fabulous handover of the van, left no stone unturned. We knew exactly what to do when it came to set up at the campsite thanks to Mike.

  We had a great holiday. The day we collected the van was very windy and it was already outside. Because of this we were not shown how to operate the awning and ultimately had a minor breakage. Mike was kind enough to waive the cost of repair. I have no hesitation in recommending hiring from Mike.
