The Penelope was a great RV experience for our 3 days of travels along the Great Ocean Road as a couple with our little dog. For a retro vintage van, she was perfect for slow travelling but does require some skilled manual shifting to ensure a smooth and comfortable ride along some sketchy roads. Stay wise, the double bed was surprisingly really comfortable and the kitchen/awnings facilities were easy to use and set up for meal time. The owner was really friendly and communication was swift and everything well explained and we felt reassured at all times if there was any questions on the trip. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique van to hire that brings smiles and headturns wherever she goes!

What a fantastic mid week getaway. Penelope was the perfect companion and I cant wait to hire her again. Laura and Jeremy are both wonderful caring and diligent owners/keepers of the keys. Dont think about it, just go for it! Hire Penelope, you wont regret it!

We had an amazing time in Penelope, she was pure magic to drive and the van had everything we needed for our 4 days in Wye River. Jeremy and Laura were wonderful hosts and went to a lot of effort to make our holiday so enjoyable. We would definitely take another road trip down the coast with Penelope again! Jen

From the moment I booked Penelope the Kombi, my experience with Jeremy, Laura, and the van itself was absolutely exceptional! Jeremy and Laura responded to my booking enquiry within two hours and maintained friendly, helpful communication throughout the process. The detailed information they provided answered all my questionseven the ones I hadnt thought to ask yet. They were incredibly flexible with pick-up and drop-off times, and they kindly allowed me to leave my own car at their home while I went on my trip. Penelope the Kombi exceeded all my expectations. She was immaculately clean, both inside and out, and came thoughtfully equipped with everything I could needfrom bottle openers in the utensils drawer to a two-burner camping stove. The pièce de résistance was the incredibly comfy bed with a real mattress and beautiful, soft linen. Every detail was perfect. On my first night, as I lay down, I couldnt help but think, Hiring Penelope was the best decision Ive made all year (and it was the 29th of December!). Driving Penelope took a little getting used to, but as a confident manual car driver, it was no problem. While shes a bit slower than other vehicles on the road, I never once got honked at. Other drivers seemed just as charmed by her as I was, happily giving me space, with many slowing down to take photos as they passed. Thank you so much, Jeremy and LauraIm already looking forward to the next time I can hire Penelope!

We took Penelope on an epic road trip from Torquay to Port Campbell, and she was the perfect travel buddy! Smooth to drive, reliable, and cozy for the journey, Penelope gave us everything we needed for an unforgettable adventure. We had plenty of space for all our gear, and the setup was ideal for stopping along the Great Ocean Road to soak in the views. Highly recommend Penelope if youre looking for a fun, easygoing road trip experience she really made our trip one for the books!

Delightful! Relaxing, comfortable, peaceful & a wonderful step back in time. We even played chess, which we haven't done for years. Highly recommended.
