Experience true off-grid freedom in our fully upgraded MDC XT12HR camper. Perfect for beach adventures and remote escapes, it’s set up for comfort, convenience and serious capability. With huge solar capacity, lithium batteries, air-conditioning, Starlink connectivity, a queen bed, internal shower and upgraded loo, this is camping without the usual compromises. Ideal for exploring Double Island Point, K’gari and other off-grid destinations with the right 4WD. Powered by 2400W of solar and 800Ah of lithium batteries, this camper is built for genuine off-grid comfort. The roof air-conditioner can typically run for around 6–8 hours on battery power and cools the van down quickly. In hotter conditions, the additional 400W KickAss rear-window cooling setup helps maintain comfort for much longer, and a generator is also included as backup for extra peace of mind. Combined with the permanent roof-mounted 12V Starlink system, you can stay cool, comfortable and connected even in remote locations.

Additional information

This camper is beach-ready but requires a capable 4WD and some basic sand-driving knowledge. We provide lightweight recovery gear, a quick handover on tyre pressures and tides, plus a guide for safe access to Double Island Point and Fraser Island. Please return the van rinsed after salt/sand trips. For power, the 2400W solar and 800Ah lithium battery system handles most off-grid needs with ease. Hiring rules

• No smoking inside the camper at any time.
• The toilet cassette and grey water tank must be emptied prior to return.
• The camper must be returned in a clean, tidy, and damagefree condition (fair wear and tear excepted).
• No extreme 4WD tracks or vehicle use beyond the camper’s intended design limits.
• No offroad driving where tracks are not clearly identified on recognised maps or navigation systems.
• No river crossings or terrain that poses a risk of water ingress or mechanical damage.
• Beach driving is only permitted where legal and must be discussed and approved prior to hire.
• The camper must not be subhired, lent, or driven by unauthorised persons.
• Any damage, fault, or incident must be reported to the owner as soon as practicable.

Delivery fee: Delivery fee set by the owner following confirmation of delivery address

Cancellations

Flexible

Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
