I lived in Indie for 4 months, so I was able to thoroughly test her for comfort and convenience, practicality and enjoyment. Small enough to be an easy ride and get into some spots bigger vans can't, but big enough to carry everything you need. And small enough to be discreet. Double or single bed setup. Lounge converts easily. Lots of storage space with a wardrobe hidden behind the desk/table pull-down door. Wel equipped kitchen with utensils, cooking equipment and Gasmate camp stove. There's a Baccarat pressure cooker too. 10m electric cable for use at powered sites. 45L Dune 4WD single zone fridge. 15L water tank. Rhino roofrack and 2m Rhino Sunseeker awning. Yakima bike rack available at extra cost (fits two bikes). Bed linen available at extra cost. Sealed roads only. NO pets/animals.

Additional information

The van's electric system supports charging of 12V devices and 240V to power small devices, e.g. mobile phone, camera, laptop. NO heating appliances or high-power devices or appliances are to be used. The inverter will not support use of these items. The van's electric system is dependent on being driven every 2-3 days or so to charge the battery. 3 days being stationary is probably the maximum, without compromising available electric for the fridge, cabin lights, etc. and draining the battery.

Hiring rules

  • No smoking inside van.
  • No pets.
  • No offroad. Please stick to sealed roads
  • 220km per day limit (calculated over whole trip length) $0.33c for each additional km
  • No use of appliances/devices that draw highpower (e.g. blender, kettle, electric blanket, hairdryer, etc.). Van electrics support laptop and phone charging.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    We had a great time traveling with Indie. It was ideal for our 10-day trip along the East Coast. Fi was wonderful - very welcoming, and the handover was clear and thorough. On our return, she even gave us a lift to the railway station. We would happily recommend Indie to anyone looking for a compact and agile campervan.
