The Pilbara is one of Australia's most extraordinary places, and we've set up this van to make sure your experience matches the landscape. The Pilbara Base Camp is our 2020 Windsor Genesis 220MD, sleeping five in real comfort. Queen island bed for the adults, three bunks for the kids, full ensuite with shower and toilet, air conditioning, and a washing machine. You can pack light and stay as long as the Pilbara deserves. This van is perfect for you if you're a family heading to Karijini, fishing the Dampier Archipelago, or exploring Millstream-Chichester. It's also ideal if you're flying into Karratha and want to hit the ground running. The van comes fully equipped and ready to go. Weber BBQ, camp chairs, outdoor table, fully stocked kitchen, and a local guide to the best the Pilbara has to offer. For those flying in, we offer a full linen and towel pack as an optional add-on. We hand over personally, walk you through everything, and are always contactable throughout your trip. Our job is to make sure your Pilbara adventure is everything you hoped it would be.

Towing requirements: Your tow vehicle must be rated to tow a minimum of 2,500kg ATM and fitted with a 12-pin trailer plug. A brake controller is required. Sealed roads only: The Pilbara Base Camp is approved for sealed roads only. This includes the highway to Karijini, Tom Price, Port Hedland, and Exmouth. Unsealed tracks and station roads are not permitted. GPS tracking: The van is fitted with a GPS tracker for security and peace of mind. Minimum hire: 3 nights minimum per booking. Return condition: Please return the van in the same condition it was collected — a cleaning fee is included in your booking for the turnaround clean, but excessive mess or damage may incur additional charges. Linen: Not included in the base rate. A full linen and towel pack is available as an add-on at booking.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Had a fabulous time in the van, Mia and her husband were friendly and accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Van was great, tidy and has everything we needed, just needed to pack food, towels, linen and our clothes. Came with everything for a great camping trip Thanks Mia & Oggy!
