  • Hiring Rules for The Horizon Haven
  • 1. Driving Restrictions
  • No OffRoad, Beach, or Gravel Roads: This vehicle is strictly for sealed/paved roads only. Offroad driving (including beaches, dirt tracks, or unsealed roads) is prohibited and will void insurance. Doing so wears and damages the underbody and suspension and would result in a $999.00 fee + cost of repairs
  • Emergency Protocol: If an emergency occurs, pull over immediately and contact Camplify at 02 4075 2000 for assistance.
  • 2. Fuel Policy
  • Diesel Only: The vehicle will be provided with a full tank. Return it full, or incur:
  • Fuel Cost (current diesel rate) + $99.00 Admin Fee for refueling.
  • 3. Prohibited Activities
  • No Smoking: Smoking (including vaping) inside the van is strictly forbidden. Violations incur a $999.00 deepcleaning fee.
  • No Pets: Animals are not permitted in or near the van.
  • No Indoor Cooking: Use the external camp kitchen setup only.
  • 4. Cleaning Responsibilities
  • Return Clean: You must clean the van inside and out before return, including:
  • Washing/drying all dishes, utensils, and surfaces.
  • Removing trash and personal items.
  • Fees for NonCompliance:
  • $249.00 Cleaning Fee: For general untidiness.
  • $999.00 Detailing Fee: For red Outback dust, excessive dirt, stains, smoking.
  • Linen Exception: We handle linen washing – do not wash bedding/towels.
  • 5. Mileage Allowance
  • 200km/Day Included: Excess kilometers charged at 75c/km (calculated at trip end).
  • Example: A 5day trip with 1,200km driven = 200km excess × 0.75 = $150.00 extra.
  • 6. Service Fee Coverage
  • Your booking includes:
  • Replenished Essentials: Cleaning products, batteries, butane bottles, coffee and tea.
  • Camplify Booking Fee: Covers insurance, 24/7 roadside assistance, and customer support.
  • 7. Additional Notes
  • Report Damage Immediately: Any issues (mechanical, interior, or exterior) must be reported to Camplify and the owner ASAP.
  • Respect the Van: Treat it as your own – reckless use or breaches may result in penalties or loss of bond.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
