Delivery available

Ask about our evening delivery and handover the night prior to hire start. You can pack and prepare but cannot drive prior to 12.01 am on the first day of hire. We cannot always do this, and we rely on public transport to get home, so the drop off needs to be near train or bus route. But will if we can make it work NoFrilzWagon has been on Camplify since late November 2024, and has completed over 30 trips. It’s covered over 40,000km taking travellers to the north and the far south (& south east) of WA. Travellers have taken her to Shark Bay, Monkey Mia, Kalbarri, Margaret River, Albany, Denmark, Bremer Bay, Wave Rock, Lancelin, Pinnacles, Esperance, Cape Le Grande and plenty more in between. She's even done some trips that didn't leave Perth. Why? because hirers worked out NoFrilz was way cheaper than a regular hire car plus accommodation. For a glimpse of some trips other travellers have taken with NoFrilzWagon, why not check out our Instagram @ozwagoncampers This one is even more backpacker price friendly than our fancier wagons, and gives a wider cohort the opportunity to see WA (and beyond) as you want, at a pace you want. Plus, with no rooftop tent or roof racks to catch the wind, and only 150kg or so of camping gear to weigh it down, this one is nimbler, and great for long distance /short duration trips. As the name suggests, it's a bit less fancy. A one or two person stealth camper that is surprisingly well fitted out (come to think of it, “NoFrilz” may be a misnomer). Including a super comfortable "bedroom", 30 litre drawer fridge, 160W solar, 2nd battery, 240V, two stoves and more. All the while looking pretty much like a regular station wagon, giving you more “parking” options. These wagons are still quite common in WA, which helps make NoFrilzWagon seem almost “invisible”. NoFrilzWagon is built from an inexpensive base vehicle, so we had more funds for it’s build, and make no mistake, it’s “built”! All camping components were bought new in 2024, and while the base vehicle clearly isn’t new, every mechanical wear point has been scrutinised:- bushes, balljoints, rack ends, tie rod ends, links, bearings, pumps, belts, seals, brakes, dampers, uni joints, mounts, hoses; you name it. Wherever any wear/movement /deterioration/leaking was found, it was rectified. Where parts were still working well but old/original or deemed a failure risk, they were replaced with new. The fuel pump, water pump, power steering pump, alternator and brake master cylinder being just five examples. The overall list of new parts and consumables is way too long to list. But it’s not just new parts, it received numerous “in the know” reliability enhancements to even further fortify this long proven model. As well as mechanical work, it received a full nut and bolt interior strip, yep, down to a bare tin can inside. Then every interior piece was deep cleaned or replaced before being put back in properly. Then the new camping gear went in. NoFrilzWagon is not just some old wagon that’s had a vacuum clean, and a quick spray with Glenn 20. You may have noticed from the photos that NoFrilzWagon already has some bumps and scrapes, it had been around a bit in it’s previous life(ves). So we're prepared to let this one roam further and wider than most of the powderpuffs on Camplify. We're not overly precious with NoFrilzWagon and will consider all trip requests with a view to saying yes. Of course, we don't want it smashed to bits on 4wd bush tracks, but this one isn't afraid of a well maintained unsealed road. If you want more of an "out of town" adventure, hit us up with your itinerary and the roads you wish to traverse, we'll look into it, research it and see if we can say yes. However, please dont take the above as open slather to book and just go anywhere, we still need unsealed roads approved because some in WA are just too damaging for any vehicle. Extra travel scope notwithstanding, our experience with OzFunwagon is that most people just want to go to the normal tourist places like Margaret River, Monkey Mia, Shark Bay, Exmouth, Ningaloo, Karijini, Broome, Albany, Esperance, Cape Le Grande, Bremer Bay, Kalbarri etc. NoFrilzWagon does these without breaking a sweat. 160km/booking day is included in the rate, additional km incur an additional charge of $0.40c per km. For example a ten day booking has 1600km incl. if you drive 1700km, there would be a $40 charge. However, if you’re contemplating a long distance, short duration trip, say interstate, give us a message about the above km allowance and km rates, we should be able do a bit better. Sms o4i89o979S if instant book is on. If instant book is off (we toggle it) just make a booking request and hit us up with your days and likely km. 🚘 Driving - Easy to drive automatic, no "quirks", no special licence required just a regular car licence. Ice cold in-car AC for warmer months, toasty heater for winter. Power steering, cruise control, anti lock brakes, driver and passenger airbags. All factory fitted. All working. Airbags are NOT Takata, so are safe and not subject to recall. 🦺🛟 Safety - fire extinguisher and blanket, first aid kit, user and instruction manuals for vehicle and added camping components. Airtagged. 👯 Travellers - It was a 5-seater, but the back seat is now permanently stowed, now caters for upto 2 travellers. 🛌 Sleeping - Yeah its a stealth camper, so the "bedroom" for two is in the wagon above the false floor. 1,9m long 1.3m wide 100mm thick mattress. Window screens go with it so you can black out the windows for a deep sleep, and a sleep-in. There is a fan with light too. If you and your travelling companion are just friends, but not "sleep together" friends, no problems, just ask and we’ll include a super comfy tent swag for no extra cost. Linen provided WHEN LINEN OPTION TICKED on booking (up to 2 fitted sheets, 2 doona, 2 pillows, 2 towels). If the linen option isn't ticked, it just comes with mattress protector(s). ⚡🔌💡🔋' Electrical - 160W semi flexible roof solar panel paired to the new Kings BatBlock 25 plug and play battery charger and management system with 100Ah deep cycle second battery. This means the fridge can run 24/7 if NoFrilzWagon spends a decent portion of the day in the sun or driving, and the 5 LED light bars can run evenings. When driving, the starter battery AND the 2nd battery are both charged by the engine's alternator AND the solar (solar prioritised). Ample power as well for phone and laptop chargers with multiple 12V cig and 5V USB outlets. It has a 1000W pure sine wave 240V AC inverter to plug in those 240V laptop and drone chargers, if that's your thing. Tucked away is also an emergency lithium jump starter and a 240V AC supply battery charger, but those shouldn't be needed. 🧳💼🧳 Luggage - soft bags are best, but a suitcase will also fit. 🍌🍅🥩🥚🥛 Food and drink storage - 30 litre drawer fridge/ freezer located at the passenger rear door for perishables and drinks, there is also a 30 litre esky behind the front passenger seat for extra food and drink storage. 🍳🍳 Cooking - twin burner LPG gas stove, plus single burner instant-on butane canister fuelled type for that quick cuppa. Pots, pans, saucepans, cutlery, and cooking utensils all found in the drawers. 🍴🍷🍽️ Enough plates, bowls, cups, glasses, cutlery for two people. Two collapsible sinks (wash and rinse), sponges, wash cloths, tea towels etc for when its time to do the dishes. No room for a dishwasher sorry. 🫖☕🍵 Tea and coffee Tea bags, freeze dried Mocconna coffee, raw sugar sticks, milo, and a few 200ml long life milks provided with each hire. 🪑🪑 Furniture - 2 chairs, 1 Alum fold-up table. Meal prep table on drawers. 💧🚰 Water- A 10 Litre drinking water container stores behind the front seat. ⛽⛽ Fuel. Oz FunWagon runs on unleaded petrol. It can achieve well over 600km from it's 70 litre tank. Of course, it will use more fuel if pushing fast into a head wind. If you want extra range, just ask, and we'll include an extra 20L fuel container. *The wagon will be FULL of fuel on collection, and will have been filled up within 2km of pickup point. On return, please completely fill it at one of the stations within 2km of our house.

Additional information

Weve dropped the “clean the van for me” option from Camplify recommended $99.00 to $49.00. If you feel that cleaning the van at the end of your trip is something you won’t feel like doing (we get it) please tick The “clean the van for me” option. No smoking please, (of any type of plant). Or vaping - This one is no pets sorry - Unsealed roads need pre approval on Camplify messages. - We will also consider “on the spot” requests by phone or message for unsealed roads. We will likely say yes, but don’t assume please. Approval is essential, as there are some absolute car killing roads in WA. If we say yes based on our best knowledge at the time, then on driving the road you find it rough or corrugated, you MUST turn back immediately and find alternate route. - The wagon cannot be flat towed, ie it cannot be towed by another vehicle using a tow rope or chain. This will destroy the transmission. - The wagon must not be used for towing another vehicle, a trailer, a caravan, a boat, a horse float, a jet ski etc. - wagon is airtagged, the airtag does not keep a permanent record. It just lets us know roughly where it is.

Hiring rules

  • Please tick the “clean my van” option if you think you will not feel like cleaning it outside and inside at the end of your trip. We have dropped the price from Camplify’s default $99.00 to $49.00 as we’ve been finding travellers wont pay $99.00, but some also seem reluctant to bring vans back clean. Hence the half price cleaning option. The half price cleaning option does not cover the outback clean option. If bought back too dirty it will be considwrwd to need an “outback clean”
  • No Smoking in van
  • No pets (there isn't room for one so we made it no pets)
  • Tow bar can be used for a bike rack, but not for towing trailer.
  • .
  • 160km per booking day is included in the rate. There will be an additional charge of $0.40 per km travelled over 160km x (No. of booking days). For example on a 10 day hire, there will be no excess km charge if 1600km or less is travelled. If for example 2600km is travelled, the fee will be (2600km 1600km) x $0.40/km= $400.00
  • UNSEALED roads must be preapproved in writing in Camplify Messages before the trip begins. (We can also do onthespot approvals mid trip. just call us). This one IS allowed on good owner approved unsealed roads. If however we do allow an unsealed road, and you find the road has had lack of maintenance, is affected by rain or weather, is corrugated, potholed, or in any way unsafe to traverse in a regular 2wd station wagon, then turn back and find an alternate route.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.
