Special towing information

If you plan to tow the van yourself, you must be sufficiently experienced with towing in order to be covered in the event of an accident. Please share your towing experience as part of your booking request. Additionally, your vehicle must have the following: 1) A towing capacity of at least 2.5 tonnes. Check with your vehicle's owner's manual what your maximum towing capacity is if you're not sure 2) A 7 pin flat socket like this to accept the caravan wiring connector: https://www.jaycar.com.au/7-pin-flat-trailer-socket/p/PS2051. If your vehicle has a different connector, we do have some adapters available for hire (please contact us if you're interested), or you can supply your own. 3) An electric brake controller and towing mirrors, however we have both available for hire if you don't have either of these. See the 'Optional Extras' section when you make your booking. 4) A standard 50mm tow ball. If you're not sure just send us a message, or select the Deliver option and we can likely deliver it to site for you. 😀 INCLUDED DISTANCE? ------------------- If you're towing it yourself, your hire fee includes 150km of travel per day of hire, as tracked by the onboard GPS tracker, and excess kilometres are charged at 20c/km. This helps keep the hire fee reasonable for everyone. You are allowed to travel more than 150km in a single day, so long as the total distance across your whole trip is less than 150km x the number of days of your hire. For example, a 5 day booking would give you 750km included (150km x 5 days) to use however you want throughout your trip. OFF-ROAD USE CONDITIONS: ------------------------- This is a semi off-road van, and some of the best places in Australia are accessed via dirt roads, gravel roads or tracks. However these types of surfaces invariably put vehicles at a higher risk of damage than on sealed roads, and incurs greater wear and tear on a vehicle's tyres, suspension and other components. While this wear may not be obvious from your trip (i.e. nothing may actually break during your trip), the wear will nonetheless have occurred and will necessitate repairs down the track (e.g. additional stress on springs will eventually cause them to break). As such, special conditions apply for off-road use. 1) You must provide us an itinerary of your intended route and the types of roads this entails when you place your booking 2) You must be sufficiently experienced with the type of roads you'll be travelling 3) Subject to 1) and 2), an additional off-roading fee may be charged to cover the increased wear the van will sustain while on dirt roads. This will depend on the conditions of the road and the duration of your booking, but will usually be $25-$100/day depending on the situation. 4) Any departure from the agreed itinerary or road types, as per the GPS tracker, may incur additional charges 5) Off-road use without permission will result in off-road charges being applied to your booking

Greg and Mim set the tone early by giving us real confidence and clear expectations. Their Camplify listing and photos were very accurate, and this was reinforced by excellent communication and customer service throughout the entire process. I was particularly impressed with the handover, easily the most thorough Ive experienced, not just for a caravan rental but in general. There are lots of small things to know with a van, and the better you understand them, the better your experience will be. Greg and Mim dont presume or judge your level of vanning experience they simply explain everything clearly and honestly. Some of the details might seem small or even overkill, but those quirks are what allowed us to really make the most of the van. We had the van for seven days and everything went exactly to plan. Greg and Mim were far more organised than I expected providing plenty of thoughtful extras : pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, sponge, tea towels, drip mats, bin bags, storage containers, and more which made the trip much easier. Communication before the trip was quick, clear, and to the point. The handover location in a shopping centre car park was also a smart touch, making it easy to check electric brakes and mirrors before departing, with a wide turning circle to get comfortable with the van straight away without the stress of tight corners. With a 2.5-tonne tow capacity vehicle, the van towed smoothly, without sway and without excessive effort. Fuel consumption averaged 14.5L/100km over the trip, which was lower than I anticipated. Overall, a very well run rental experience from start to finish. I will be hiring again this van again. I recommend Greg and Mim to anyone looking for a stress free and well supported caravan hire.

So easy to communicate with Greg, and very receptive to a late change. Handover was very thorough and we felt confident setting up. Set up was great and that was in 45 C! Van had everything we needed, beds comfortable. Hubbie found it easy to tow. Greg very quickly responded to a question while on our trip. Van was perfect for our needs, so good to have a toilet! The outdoor shower was so useful for a beach park in heat and a labradoodle.

Greg went above and beyond to ensure our experience was stress free and enjoyable. The van was delivered for us to our campsite, and set up for our arrival. Greg then went through all the details we needed to ensure an easy holiday experience. The van is equipped with all the necessities for cooking and was beautifully presented. Thank you Greg for sharing your van with us. We will definitely look to book again.

Hi there and welcome! :) We did over two years of caravanning around Australia with our family of three kids between 2017 and 2025, including a full-time 12 month trip during 2020. It was an amazing experience while our kids were of travel age, so now we're sharing the experience we learned from full-time travel with our newer vans, so you can share some of the amazing experiences we've had!
