Day 1: Gold Coast - Burleigh Beach

Stop 2: Cougal Falls & Currumbin Rock Pools
Head to Cougal Falls in the Currumbin Balley. Grab your towels and swimmers and enjoy the short 10 mint walk to the beautiful cascade.
On the way back, if you're feeling like another dip or somewhere to stop in for lunch, then check our Currumbin Rock Pools. Natural swimming pools with rope swings, sheltered picnic tables, toilet facilities & a snack bar - this is the perfect spot to relax and refuel.
Stop 3: Sunset Mission
Grab the picnic rug and table from the van and head to the beach for the sunset! All you need is a bottle of wine, some snacks and some tunes!

We recommend setting up for the night at the Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Campground, or Burleigh Beach Tourist Park.
Local Tip! Get in early and book as far in advance as possible as these spots fill up fast! If you can't find a spot here, there are plenty of free camps spots available through the Wikicamp app.

Day 2: Burleigh Beach - Byron Bay
For your first morning take the path to the top of Burleigh Hill before dawn and check out the spectacular sunrise! To get to Cock Rock, head to the Tugun Burleigh Hill Lookout. About 30 meters past the lookout you will see a clear opening in the trees. Climb over the small fence and follow the large hexagonal boulders down the hillside until you can go no further.

Pack up camp and hit the Gold Coast highway Southbound. On your way, be sure to check-in at any of these great spots:

There are tonnes of campgrounds in Byron you can find on Wikicamps. If all booked out, try heading back to Wooyung Beah Campground!

Day 3: Byron Bay
If you are an early riser and want to witness one of the best sunrise spots in Australia, then make the trek up to the Byron Bay light house before dawn! We promise you won't regret it! You've got a big day ahead so grab those eggs and bacon and cook yourself a yummy breaky in your van! Now you're ready to head out to explore Byron's beautiful beaches, quirky shops and even quirkier locals!
Stop 1: The Farm
This real working farm creates a beautiful experience for visitors. Not only is it visually incredible, but it's also an awesome chance to learn about farm life and learn how food is grown and produced!
Stop 2: Killen Falls
For another waterfall adventure, head to 'Killen Falls'. With lots of onsite parking and a light 15-minute walk to the waterfall, this spot is a must! Make sure to bring your swimmers and a packed lunch because we guarantee you'll want to stay a while!
Stay At:
For tonight's location, our recommendation is to book into Flat Rock Tent Park. It is a gorgeous little scheduled campsite right on the beach! If booked out, try Broken Head Holiday Park or Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park.

Day 4: Byron Bay - Gold Coast
Today is the last day of your adventure, so let's make the most of it! GEt up bright and early, cook yourself some break, make a coffee and get ready to hit the road!

Stop 1: Lake Ainsworth
After a long 3 days of adventuring, it's time to relax and rejuvenate yourself! Stated brown from surrounding Tea Tree, Lake Ainsworth is said to have healing qualities by the local Bundjalung People! Spend the morning soaking up the water before heading back to the Gold Coast to drop off the van.
Returning Your Van:
Remember to return your van with a full tank of fuel and don't forget to do a quick clean-out and check for any items you might have left behind.
