FREE AIRPORT PICKUP ! Need to " escape" ..... ? Climb into The Escape Pod, buckle up, and Blast off ! Have no fear - You will be travelling in style in this recently " renovated " Mercedes Sprinter. You will be amazed at what has been packed into the Escape Pod for your " survival ". For " off grid " travel ", you can rely on ..... 300 amps of lithium battery, 320 watts of solar, 2600 watt inverter, 110 litres of water storage, Diesel heater, Plenty of Storage, Large 130 litre Upright Bushmans Fridge/ freezer, Toilet, webber BBQ, Television with over 100 movies, rooftop storage, wind out awning, hammocks......etc, etc Most importantly - a super comfy Queen size bed ( bedding supplied ) with an OPTIONAL, seperate sleeping quarters ( below ) for the "Junior Officer. ( at additional cost ) NOTE - HIRE CHARGE IS FOR 2 PEOPLE SLEEPING IN QUEEN BED. ADDITIONAL CHARGE - for 3rd person sleeping in " junior quarters " under the queen bed. To add a third person, choose " car seat for child " in the Optional Extras. The foot section of the Queen bed converts easily to a bench seat, for day-time or dinner-time use, while still leaving enough " bed " available for snoozing, reading or watching a movie on the TV. Lagun table for eating inside in bad weather, or there are 3 chairs and 2 large folding tables for outdoors. A basic pantry, with all cutlery, pots pans, Plates and glasses ( no plastic here ) Bath towels, as well as body soap, shampoo and conditioner. External hot water shower via gas fuelled smartek hot water heater, at back doors Pop up shower tent provided. Toilet is cassette style which pulls out from under sink compartment. We can customise your equipment at no extra charge if you are traveling as a couple only, and can remove extra bed for more storage, or pack in extra gear, including ground matts, entry step. A NSW National parks pass, also covers the van, for entry into all National Parks in NSW, a saving of $8 / day. Our Favourite saying when we are away in the Escape Pod is..... " we love our van ", and we know that you will too...... I guarantee it !

Additional information

The OPTIONAL, "Third" bed is a single bed, located on the floor of the van, Below the Queen bed. It is cosy down there, and only suitable for a child up to around 16 years old - This area also has a light, fan and storage. The queen bed is quite high of the floor - 90cm - about kitchen bench height ( this allows for storage and 3rd bed under ).There is a seat / poof, in the van to use as a step up to the bed. If you are older than say 60 years, or are restricted in movement, this may not suit. Feel free to contact for more info on anything you are not sure about.

Hiring rules

A GPS Tracker is installed in the van, and shows it's whereabouts at all time, including distances travelled, and speed.
If you are thinking about doing anything silly in the van Hire another van !

No smoking or vaping inside

Be Careful when walking on the roof " rack " to walk on the main beams only
EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they call the NRMA. Then call me!
DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required.
NO OFFROAD / NO Beach Driving / NO Extended Gravel Roads/ NO Smoking inside
UNSEALED roads must be preapproved in writing in Camplify Messages before the trip begins. Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of insurance coverage.
DISTANCE Hirers are welcome to take the van up to 200km per day for the first 3 days, after this it is 100km per day.
Anything over is a strict fee of $0.50 per KM.
FUEL Return full of DIESEL All hires include a full tank upon departure.
CLEANING Clean the equipment used in the van, put things back where you got them, discard your rubbish, just a general clean/tidy.
Excessive cleaning will incur a minimum charge of $150.00

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $135.00 per day
Service fee: $70.00

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Our holidays were amazing! The Escape Pod had everything that you need for a comfortable stay wherever you go. Everything is thought in this van! The communication with Craig was great as well! Given the good weather for my holiday I was able to enjoy a very relaxed time with the back doors open to the weather, relaxing with a cuppa or a beverage and enjoy the sunshine and the wildlife. Craig has done an excellent job with his van conversion and great use of space.

I had the greatest trip in this well laid out van. Everything went smoothly, and my initial anxiety with driving a large van ( compared to my small car ) was soon put at ease. The van was EASY to drive. The bed was super comfortable, and although I had average weather, and one really stormy night, I felt secure and well equiped in this little "pod" . The high roof, allows you to stand up comfortabley, and the sense of space and air flow was obvious. The quality fitout and finishes were all appreciated. Highly reccommended ! Thanks guys, Mel
