Sky is our little home away from home. Sky is a 2007 Long Wheel Base VW Transporter with a pop top and all the extras you need for a comfortable stay. Mechanically Sky is in A1 condition and our in-house fit out is to the same degree. Sky is powered by the sun, with 400 watts of solar panels on the roof and a 200ah Lithium battery it has all the power you might ever need including 240v outlets. We also have a tailgate swing-out bike rack available that fits two bikes

Pricing

Hire Fee
From $180.00 per day

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Sky didn't miss a beat. My trip was around Tassie was just magical. The van was spacious, comfortable and had everything I required to easily trip around for 2 weeks. Tommy was easy to deal with and even organised the van 2 days early with easy drop off to the airport. Can not recommend enough

    Tommy offered Sky to us very last minute after we got a cancellation only few days before travelling to Tasmania. He dropped the price and he has been extremely accommodating with pick-up/drop-off times. The van is a gem, probably one of the comfiest we had so far. Plenty of storage, easy to drive and very well equipped. Absolutely great! :)

    This van was fantastic. Spacious, comfortable and organised. The van ran really well and was very economical. The living area had plenty of storage and the cooking area had all utensils and pans youd need. Tommys communication was quick and clear and worked around us which really made the trip! I couldnt recommend this van more.

Hi! My name is Tommy and I am the proud owner of a Volkswagen T5 Transport with Long Wheel Base and a pop top called "Sky". Sky is a fantastic 'little' van with everything we need on our adventures and as I am the owner of a Launceston based bouldering gym called Beta Park, on my weekends you can find me climbing on the coastal granite, the highlands' sandstone or one of the many Dolerite outcrops of Tasmania. Me and my partner are also avid spear fishers, love trail running and generally just love the outdoors. Sky was built by me, for us, meaning it received all the little attention to detail you can imagine from a owner builder. Knowing that most Tassie van rentals don't like you taking their vans on proper adventures or even simply on dirt roads, we figured why not make Sky available to more people than just the two of us. So there you go, go and explore all of Tassies facets from the mountains to the beaches and fall in love with the place we call home! We hope you have a wonderful time with our little white van!
