From the outside, the BONGO VAN is completely anonymous 🤫 But on the inside… we haven’t missed a beat. The Bongo Van is a custom-made camper designed for people who want freedom, adventure and a comfy place to crash after a day exploring South East Queensland. Inside, you’ll find a queen bed that folds away to create sitting room inside the van, plus a compact kitchenette and plenty of clever storage throughout. Whether you’re chasing surf, forests, mountain sunrises, beach walks or great food, the BONGO VAN is built for laid-back adventures and spontaneous road trips. You can explore some of Queensland’s best destinations, from Noosa’s Fairy Pools to Maleny Dairy, sunrise at Mt Coolum, or the Dicky Beach boardwalk. If you’re looking to check out the sights around SEQ within 2–3 hours of the pick-up point, this is the vehicle for you. Inclusions: Linen and blankets Outdoor chairs x 3 Cool Cabana Gazebo Tarp Kitchen essentials (you won’t be creating an elaborate dinner for 10, but you can absolutely fry up an amazing bacon & egg roll… or a vegan derivative if you prefer) Small gas stove Coffee plunger Fridge Running water in the kitchenette and shower If you want a warm shower, you’ll need to put those survivor skills to work and warm the water yourself 😄 Shower privacy tent Table Coffee table Power for charging devices and working the nomad lifestyle Inside lights Blackout screens Ample storage throughout the van Available on request: Tennis gear Learner surfboards Electric scooters — please note, they don’t have a huge range anymore, but they’re still fun for a play around. What we don’t supply: Towels Toilet paper Charging cables (our power supply includes standard Aussie outlets and USB ports — not USB-C) Additional batteries. A minimum supply will be provided to ensure battery-powered devices stay running during your hire. Torches Tupperware The van has two full seats and a third middle seat with a seatbelt if you’re happy to sit tight and squishy. It is not suitable for a baby seat or small child. Pick-up and drop-off is centrally located at Mountain Creek on the Sunshine Coast. No pets. No smoking of anything inside the van.

Hey legends 👋 Welcome to the BONGO VAN 🤫🚐 We’re stoked to have you along for the adventure and hope you make some awesome memories exploring the Sunshine Coast and beyond. The van is designed to be simple, fun and easy to use. It’s not a luxury hotel on wheels… but it’s comfy, practical and packed with everything you need for a laid-back road trip. A few quick reminders before you head off: - Please treat the van with care and leave it clean, additional cleaning fees will apply if it comes back filthy, these will be a minimum of $150.00 based on costs of car cleaning company. Please note that if you vomit, or otherwise inside the van, this fee will go up accordingly. - No pets - No smoking or vaping inside the van, $150.00 fee if signs of smoking are detected. - The scooters are there for fun, but keep in mind they don’t have massive battery range anymore - Hot showers require a little survival creativity 😄 If you strike any issues during your trip, just send us a message and we’ll do our best to help out quickly. Please read the insurance policy carefully as this applies to you. Please note that all Australian road rules apply while driving the van, this includes having a valid driver's license. All fines and fees associated with your trip will be passed on to you with a $30.00 admin fee added. But as harsh as all that sounds, the most import thing is thjat you stay safe and have fun — enjoy the adventure, chase some sunrises, swim at places you’ve never heard of and take the long way home 🌞🌊

Hiring rules

  • BONGO VAN Rules 🚐
  • Please treat the van with care and return it in a clean and tidy condition.
  • We provide antibacterial wipes, a dustpan and brush to help keep things clean during your trip.
  • Additional cleaning fees apply if the van is returned excessively dirty. Cleaning fees start from $150.00, based on professional cleaning costs.
  • Vomit or other significant mess inside the van will incur higher cleaning charges accordingly.
  • No smoking or vaping inside the van. A minimum $150.00 fee applies if signs of smoking or vaping are detected.
  • No pets allowed.
  • No offroad driving or driving through deep water.
  • Please do not take the van through an automatic car wash — we’ll handle exterior cleaning ourselves.
  • You will receive the van with a full tank of fuel. Please return it with a full tank, otherwise refuelling charges will apply.
  • All Australian road rules apply while driving the van, including holding a valid driver’s licence at all times.
  • Any tolls, fines, infringements or fees incurred during your booking will be passed on to you, along with a $30.00 admin fee.
  • Booking approvals may vary depending on kilometres travelled and the length of the booking.
  • The scooters are there for fun, but please note they don’t have a huge battery range anymore.
  • Hot showers require a little survival creativity 😄
  • Please read the insurance policy carefully, as it applies to all bookings.
  • If you run into any issues during your trip, send us a message and we’ll do our best to help out quickly.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
