Hello Meet our 4x4 Japanese import HiAce! Matthew and I are avid campers and adventurers. We enjoy snowboarding and camping in unique spots found on Hipcams. Having recently imported our van from Japan, Matthew put his carpentry skills to work and created a stunning and practical home on wheels. Fitted with all terrain tyres our van will have no issues getting you to where you need to go. Whether that is the snowy roads of Kosciuszko National Park or that 4x4 recommended camping spot. Please keep in mind although the Van is 4X4 it was manufactured for the snowy roads of Japan, not Australia’s bush tracks and beaches. The van does not come with recovery gear – we have never taken it on the beach and please be careful when driving on unsealed roads – you will be liable for any damages caused so take it easy! We are passionate about our guest having the best experience possible. If there is something you think we can improve let us know via message. Additional information

Starting the van The van is a diesel engine, please ensure the glow plug disappears before you turn the key to start the engine. 1. Put the key in the ignition 2. Turn the key one click to the right 3. You will see this symbol on the dash 4. Once the symbol disappears you can start the engine. Water The van holds 25L of water under the corner sink. You need to turn on the pump to run the water by the switch on the wall which labelled ‘fresh water’. The pump will make a noise when turned on and should go quiet. If at any time you are using the water and there is a continuous noise coming from the pump – switch it off. You have emptied the water tank and are sucking air only. The sink drains out the bottom of the van automatically. If you are in a location where you are unable to dispose of your grey water on the ground, you will find a collapsable sink; please put the hose from under the car into the sink on the ground and dispose of the water where appropriate. Filling the water tank You will find a 5m hose in the van to assist you in filling the water tank, this job is easier with two people however can be done solo. 1. Connect the hose to the water tank – ensuring the valve is turned to ‘off’ 2. Connect the hose to a tap; you will find in the van a tap adaptor and tool to turn taps on that do not have handles. 3. Turn on the tap 4. Switch the valve on the water tank to ‘on’ 5. Once full, switch the valve on the water tank to ‘off’ 6. Turn off the tap 7. Disconnect the tap end first to avoid excess water in the van. 8. Disconnect the hose from the water tank; ensuring to not let the water left in the hose spill out. 9. Remove excess water from the hose.

This van was really nice even better than the photos. The layout was super functional and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the details and look. It had everything you could need for a really comfortable trip - camp table and chairs, fan + vent that kept it nice and cool, solid utensils and cooking gear, plenty of storage. Matthew was incredibly helpful and responsive, overall a seamless experience.
