All bookings made require a deposit within 1 week to secure the hire. OFF-ROAD: Yes, this unit can be taken off road with prior approval - depends on your itinerary - there are some no go zones. Please note your itinerary in detail in your booking request. You will need a heavy-duty air compressor and tyre gauge to correctly deflate tyres to suitable pressures and reinflate when returning to bitumen roads. If you do not own one, we can supply a unit for hire. Please note: you are liable for any damage incurred off-road, including scratches, stone damage, and overheated shock absorbers. The latter typically arises from not adjusting tyre pressures or not driving to suit corrugated conditions, so care and caution are essential. For added protection, we recommend using a spotter to guide you into tight or bush campsites to help avoid accidental damage. SERVICE FEE: As part of our premium service, The Dirt Off Road Campers carry out mechanical check & inspection after each hire to keep it in top condition. The service fee is a once-off fee per hire. If you are hiring the camper for more than 1 week, we strongly recommend installing an Anderson plug with low voltage cut off (to protect your 4wd starting battery) so you can charge the battery as you drive from the alternator. While this is not essential, the Anderson plug provides quicker battery recharging regardless of the weather. ADDITIONAL INCLUSIONS: Unlimited kms included per week, within reason. Electric Brake Controller if needed. National NRMA 24/7 Priority support. HIRING CONDITIONS: No smoking in and around the Tvan. Hirer must be 25 years of age or older with a full license. CLEANING: The Tvan must be returned in the same clean condition as it goes out, both inside and out. A hassle free drop off is available at additional cost if you would prefer not to undertake the cleaning – see “Extra Products” at time of booking. Campers returned dirty will have the cleaning fees applied. If you have any questions, please ask.

Hiring rules

• Dogs considered on booking request. Please nominate age and breed of dog.
• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older and on a Full license.
• No smoking in or around camper. Must camp a safe distance away from any campfire.
• Must have previous camper trailer/caravan towing experience, this is essential.
• A Stone Stomper is provided and must be used during the hire. Failure to do so may incur a cost to repair stone damage.

  We did not use the TVan because my car had an electrical/towbar issue (which was diagnosed by Jarrad, Mike and Michael at the Dirt) which prevented us from taking off in it.

  The Dirt Adventure TVan was brilliant, very hard to fault. Very comfortable, easy to tow, and to set up. Fantastic for the Oodnadatta Track, which we undertook. The Dirt Off Road Campers staff were great. The lessons on the TVan by Dino was outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone. Very friendly, patient and helpful.   We hired a Tvan and was impressed. This camper is a good piece of kit and built for off-grid exploring, the Tvan handled it all with ease. Setup was quick and surprisingly simple, and the comfort level was great especially with the diesel heater at night. There was heaps of storage, and the kitchen setup made cooking in the middle of nowhere a breeze. Towing was great, lightweight and stable, even on rough roads. You can tell these are designed for the outback. The owner was good to deal withclear instructions and everything was clean and ready to go.

  The Tvan was easy to tow and setup and equipped with everything we needed for our 2 week trip in the outback. The outdoor shower was great, super comfortable bed and plenty of storage space for our belongings. We started our trip in Adelaide, headed up the Birdsville track for the races and came back down to Innamincka on the Strzlecki track and home through the Flinders Ranges. Mike was great to deal with and we would highly recommend booking through him again.

  Great way to try before you buy or just to have a great reliable van to enjoy away. The Tvan was excellent, and dealing with Mike doing the handover was seamless and very simple but in depth would definitely hire again
