Because it was built by this lady. Thats right. A chick! Which means it's not just functional, it'll feel like home. It's recently taken me and my very tall partner (6'3) all the way to the Daintree Rainforest and back in 6 weeks and so she's a well oiled (comfortable) machine! Whether you like to stay in campsites for a week straight and plug into power, or venture far to cozy up in secluded grey nomad spots - she's your lucky bird. We'd love for you to add your set of memories to her wheels.

There's a roof top deck! Perfect for attaching your surf boards, or climbing up for sunset beers. The kitchen has a pull out draw so the big'uns can cook outside under the stars. Alternatively, there's a electric air vent above the kitchen, so you can cook inside - even if it rains. For the colder seasons, we can offer you synthetic sheets wool to sleep on. The bed folds out to a queen.

Hiring rules

  • 🚐 KMs or Distance rules the first 100km per day rented there’s no charge. After that, there’s a charge of $0.30c per km.
  • ⛽️ FUEL/GAS please have the van refuelled upon return. Same with Gas Tank (this generally costs about $7.00)
  • 🏖NO OFFROAD / NO Beach Driving / NO Extended Gravel Roads/ NO Smoking inside
  • ⚠️DAMAGE any damage happens, don’t sweat. Please just be sure to tell me as soon as possible, and we can sort through Camplify.
  • 🧹CLEANING Clean the equipment and Van.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Had an awesome trip in the lucky bird! Emilie was also great at communicating and got the van ready at pretty short notice. I'm 6'6" and managed to fit lying diagonally on the bed. Van was as described, a simple setup - beware no shower!

    The van is excellent! Bed is very comfortable & spacious even with beautiful bedding. There were lights such as fairy lights and a lamp. Everything you need has been thought of. Thank you so much for sharing Lucky Bird !
