Meet Sahara Sahara was originally my dads, Joseph's, kombi in which I have shared many great memories in and now Im excited to be able to pass on this kombi to others to also enjoy and share in the kombi adventures and timeless moments. Sahara started life in 1974 .. that makes her 48 years old but drives like the day it rolled out of the VW factory. Sahara has had an extensive restoration with an 1800cc air-cooled engine and 4 speed manual gearbox. She has a double fold out bed in the rear that sleeps 2 adults and can even squeeze your young child in. We also have the added extra if you wish - of the add on room tent where it attaches to the annex to create a whole other space to either sleep extras, store iems or get changed in. She is unique with her floor to roof ladder and full length roof rack that is perfect for enjoing those coastal sunsets on. Comfortably seats 5 people with extras such as: - Fridge/freezer - Gas cooker - Center console - Baby seat points - USB ports/ 12v ports and 240 mains and solar for off grid camping - Bluetooth speaker - 3x3 metre annex with attachable enclosed room if required - Coffee machine (Nespresso with pods) ask when booking - CD player/hands free/bluetooth - Queen size bed with mattress topper - Linen supplied or you can bring your own - Full length roof rack with ladder - Pots/pans/cutlery - Kitchen sink with running water ( 25lt of pure carbon filtered drinking water supplied with ever hire ) - Outdoor bar - Camping captains chairs and bamboo folding table - Serocco fan to keep you cool on hot summer nights - Bike racks/ stand up paddle board or surfboard can be added Sahara can be hired out for special events also such as weddings, birthdays and engagaments with the option of having the kombi dropped off at the specific location for you. Hiring rules

◼No smoking within the van full bond will be forfeited if done
◼No cooking within the van (has a side folding table attached to kitchen that is used for cooking)
◼Strictly no offroad use/beach driving GPS tracker fitted.
◼Return with full tank of unleaded premium98 (please keep copy of fuel recipts) lower grade fuel will make the Kombi not run as well as it should.
◼The van must be cleaned inside and out on return, including all dishes etc. To the same standard as when it is collected. We will clean bedding.
Renters can request we clean the van for an additional fee of $99.00 for outside and inside. If cleaning fee isn’t selected on booking and the van returned dirty the above charge will be taken from the deposit.
◼ Red dirt in or under the vehicle or in engine bay will be subject full car detail fee.
◼We have a 250km a day allowed which is averaged out over the trip. If you travel over the amount allocated for your full total trip a $1.50/km over will be charged. Being a vintage vehicle we need to preserve our motors and a strict 350km maximum in any 1 day is their limit. Anything over this for the day will incur a charge at $1.50/km and a mechanical inspection upon return will also be charged.
◼Maximun 100kph speed limit, these vans have been rebuilt and run 100% fine but they are an 40 year old aircooled classic .If hirers are seen to be driving the van in excess of speed limits they may be liable to pay for a mechanic check at the end of the hire to review for any resulting damage/excess wear and tear.
◼Hirers must record details of any damage to the van, inside or out, including time and date, location of van at time and how the damage happened. Plus take photographs. They must then inform Camplify immediately of the damage.
◼All our vans are fitted with GPS tracking which monitors speedlocationdistancemaps.
◼Standard bond for all hires is held by Camplify
◼Comprehensive insurance and road assistance is included and managed by Camplify
◼For broken/damaged items, a fee of $25.00 plus the cost of the item will be charged (unless damage is minimal, we will be reasonable with this!). Expensive items will be charged at cost if significantly damaged eg. solar panels/fridge/awning
◼Pets will be considered please ask before booking but please no pets on the bed. Pet cleaning fee applies if we find a pet has been in the the bed.
◼If any check engine lights appear it is the hirers responsibility to immediately call Camplify for roadside assistance do not continue to drive without a review.
◼**We have flexi times...Pickup is anytime after 8am on the day of the booking and return is antime untill 4pm on the last day of booking unless otherwise organised so we have time to prepare for the next customer**
◼1 weekday hire available at special request and pre organised with us
◼In the event of late dropoff a fee of $150.00 plus rent will be taken for each day the van is late

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

The Sahara Kombi is absolutely fantastic! The owner was incredibly helpful, assisting with the reservation and pickup/drop-off process. We really enjoyed the experience and will definitely book again in the future. Highly recommended!

Amazing few days down to Margaret River, and the coolest ride to get us there! The Kombi had everything we could want for our trip; comfy bed and all the kitchen bits you could need. Communication with Renat and his partner was great, pick-up so easy and only wish we'd booked it for longer! Highly recommend

Our weekend getaway with Sahara was excellent! It was so much fun to drive and sleep in a kombi and Renat was excellent - very helpful and kind.

It was the best time Ive ever had in a van. Sahara treated me so well, drove like a dream. It was so comfy, Id recommend to everyone to have a weekend in it!
