Additional information
You'll need a LR (or MR or HR) licence to drive Gertie. She has a manual transmission and her size and weight mean you need to drive her differently than a car. Some experience driving this kind of vehicle is required to hire her. In our experience the best way to use Gertie is at powered camp sites. We will provide full instructions on how to make the best use of all Gertie's features. And give you with a full run when you pick her up. We provide all linen for the bed as well as bath towels. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, glasses, plates etc and a few pantry items. No off road driving is allowed.
Hiring rules
- Gertie is not designed or equipped to go offroad or on unsealed roads.
- The Bus will have a full tank of diesel for you to start your holiday. Please make sure the tank is full of diesel when you return it otherwise an extra charge will incur.
- An average of 200kms per day included in normal booking price after that there will be a charge of an extra 60c per kilometre. Please advise of plans prior to booking trip.
- No smoking
- No one under 30 allowed to drive
- Hirer must be 30 years of age or older.

Cancellations
Flexible
- Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
- Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
- Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Leon 5.0We had an amazing time travelling in Gertie! She was the perfect sizeeasy to drive and park, but still spacious and super comfortable inside. Everything we needed was provided. Things like a fully stocked kitchen with loads of utensils and cutlery, to a really comfy bed that makes sleeping on the road a dream. Set-up and pack-down were incredibly quick and simple, which made moving from place-to-place hassle-free. You can tell Gertie is well cared forshe felt like a home on wheels. Highly recommend booking her for your next adventure. Thanks for an awesome experience!
