Herty Gerty loves holidays, and people. She is loaded with everything you will need and a whole lot more. She is in super condition, Functional & Fuel efficient. You will love all the bonus extras to make your stay just perfect listed below. No service fee. Linen included.. 28L portable fridge Pedicure box (plus more, Panadol, bandaids, deodorant, toothpaste etc.) Chess, cards, badminton, frizbee. Apple play media unit and reverse camera. Bath and beach towels. Raincoats and umbrella. You can put your personal things straight into the roomy drawers and I can take your suitcase home for storage. No bags to tote around. Portable shower (just needs a bucket of hot water) Camp chairs, side table and awning Hammock Camping light and Fairy lights 2 portable bbq’s 2nd battery and Multi power source board in the back takes all plugs. USB, cigi plug and 240v Fan in the back. Roof racks Backpack. Full comprehenseive and roadside via camplify. Fits into most undercover car parks. Anything 2.2 m and over Bike carry rack upon request. Snorkeling gear upon request. Yoga mat upon request. This car is set up for camping with loads of storage. Right and left sliding doors perfect for hanging out at the beach for that open air experience. 2 large utility drawers at the back and 2 large drawers at the side doors. extra blanket. Cutlery and plates, cups glasses etc. Pull out table at the back that can also be pulled right out and set up away from the van (convenient) Coffee, tea, salt and pepper. Cooking oil Insect screens for rear and side doors. If you want to prop the tailgate open a bit and still lock the car there’s a way around that too. (I can show you at handover, it’s genius). Led lights interior at the back and side.

Hiring rules

  • No smoking.
  • No offroads, beach driving or extended gravel roads.
  • Toll fees and fines are NOT covered in the rental fee.
  • Car has 3 seats with seatbelts.
  • Full valid licence is required.
  • Sleeps 2.
  • Manual transmission.
  • 2 day minimum hire.
  • Flexible pick up and drop off point.
  • Height 2 x 2 m, length 5m, width 2m
  • No offroad driving.
  • 200k per day distance allowance, extra k's are charged at 40c per k.
  • Hirer must return the van by arranged time or incur an extra full or half day charge ( up to 4 hours incur 1/2 day fee, over 4 hours incur full day fee), unless other arrangements are made.
  • Van must be swept clean and all surfaces cleaned with the kitchen products available. Drawers left tidy and organised and rubbish removed. Failure to do so will incur a $100.00 cleaning fee.
  • DO NOT WASH THE OUTSIDE (thankyou) :)
  • Report any mishaps or breakages to the owner asap and we can work something out thats fair.
  • Full tank of fuel on return.
  • EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe,
  • for ROADSIDE HELP call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they call the NRMA. Then call me!
  • 12v and 240v power for charging devices.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    I had a great time in Herty Gerty. It was spotless, super comfortable, and had everything I needed for an easy, solo, relaxed trip. The handover with Shelley was clear and friendly, and the van drove beautifully. Communication was great throughout such a smooth experience from start to finish. Highly recommend 4 sure !

    We had the most memorable weekend away with Herty Gerty! The van came with absolutely everything we needed all we had to do was bring our own clothes. We really had to think about what we would suggest to add or change the van but both of us honestly could not think of a single thing. Shelley was incredible, so helpful and always active with communicating leading up to the day with any queries I had! After our experience I dont think we will be needing to look anywhere else if we ever need to hire another van, we will definitely be hiring the Herty Gerty again in the near future. Thank you so much again Shelley! You were amazing x
