Bessie is the perfect van for a couple to getaway and experience the “Van life”. Bessie’s best features: - Two fridge/freezers. - Filtered, unfiltered and hot water. - Outdoor shower. - Emergency toilet (on request). - Full double bed. (People over 180cm will find it abit cramped when sleeping) - Lots of solar and battery power for days off grid (sun permitting). You can also connect to mains power at at caravan park etc. - Induction cooktop and portable gas burner. - Diesel heating. - 3 fans to keep you cool. - Bug nets. - Table and chairs - Plenty of storage for your luggage.

For those wanting extra details: Bessie has; - 450Ah lithium battery. - 540W of solar. - Charges while you drive. - Mains power connection for caravan parks etc. long extension lead included. - 3000W inverter to run 240V A/C appliances off grid.(running full power will drain the battery fast). - 100L water tank for drink/washing etc. (cleaned and regularly sanitised) - 10L electric hot water storage unit that operates on 12VDC or 240VAC.

Hiring rules

  • No Smoking inside the van.
  • No extended driving on unsealed/gravel roads.
  • No beach driving.
  • Toilet canister must be emptied prior to return a $100.00 fee will be charged if this is not met.
  • Inside must be reasonably neat and tidy on return sweep floor, wipe down benches etc.
  • No need to wash exterior but if the van is excessively dirty then a cleaning fee of $50.00 will be charged.
  • Vehicle must be refueled upon return.
  • 250 km's a day is included in the booking price. You will be charged $0.20 per kilometre for additional km’s travelled over the total allowance. This is calculated within camplifys pre/post hire checklist.
  • Week day pick up is from 3:30pm. A 50% discount for the weekday pick up day will be applied.
  • Weekday drop off is from 3:30pm.
  • Weekend pick up/drop offs are flexible.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Pat was extremely friendly and accommodating. Bessie was perfect, drove beautifully, was very comfortable and had everything we could need and want for our trip away. We will happily rehire again when needed, 100% recommend!

    Bessie was a great Van to hire! Pat has done a great job on decking it out with everything you need , I didn't need to plug in at all and had power the whole time for 9 days. The water is a great extra and the fact it's got hot water is perfect. Drives easy on the roads and corners. The block out curtains are perfect for privacy and a good sleep in for those mornings you need the extra zzzz The thoughtful use of close line around the inside of van is great to dry thing's. The bed is comfy and good size can always sleep vertically along if needing extra room for taller folks. PAT was very friendly at hand over and super reachable if needed I'd recommend hiring this van! Thank you again Jacqui

    Absolutely LOVED everything about Bessie!!! Most incredible host, so attentive, always answered any questions we had at any time. The van was absolutely spotless, description was bang on and we were well equipped for our week away. We will 100% be hiring Bessie again
