Special towing information
Elecbrake is installed on the caravan and can be provided upon request for a $50 additional charge. A simple download of the app will have you set up in no time. I usually allocate 1000km per trip (after that $0.50/km), however, we are able to negotiate the final price (depending on booking length, location). When the booking is confirmed, please identify the necessary trailer / tow vehicle connector pin you will need. We will provide one (if you don't have something suitable). We require a photo to be sent through via email or by phone prior to handover of the back of your vehicle (that shows the tow ball and trailer light connector).

Additional information
We have provided an easy-to-follow user guide and instructions for our hirers. Setting up for a safe and stress-free holiday is a big priority for the Road Owl experience. We have included lots of 'creature comforts' and things that we find useful when travelling with young kids (and bigger kids). We will run through all of this prior to you setting off for your holiday. When off grid, battery management is essential through the solar panel set up and water management with the tanks can have you off mains water for anywhere between 4-7 days depending on your experience and usage. I will run through all of this prior to handover. Please be aware there is a $50.00 electric brake hire fee if you do not have the appropriate breaking system set up.
Hiring rules
- We hope you enjoy your trip in ‘The Road Owl'. Please feel free to use everything provided in the van but remember other families are relying on the caravan staying in great condition, to use for their family holiday after yourselves. So please take care with it 😊
- We offer free delivery and set up/pack up at the following Caravan Parks in Adelaide: Marion Holiday Park, BIG4 West Beach Parks, Adelaide Caravan Park, Brighton Beachfront Holiday Park.
- Note: We respectfully ask that the greatest care is taken with the awning. It should NOT be left unattended throughout the day or overnight or when winds exceed 1520KPH (810knots). Damage to this item may incur a significant cost to the hirer. Please read install instructions (or visit the youtube video link provided).
- Strictly no bikes, scooters or other large equipment stored inside the caravan whilst holidaying (or when travelling). It is recommended you bring along a bike chain if concerned about park theft.
- For Bush Camping: Water tanks can be filled with filtered (2 x 110L via ‘B.E.S.T Filter’ prior to departure for $15.00 extra)
- No Go Zones: Due to previous issues and insurance, OffRoad / unsealed road travel is NOT permitted in the van. Well maintained access roads to popular campgrounds etc are permitted, only if agreed in writing prior. If an incident occurs during travel OffRoad travel or on an unsealed roadway, you may be in breach of the hiring agreement.

Cancellations
Flexible
- Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
- Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
- Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

We went with the set up/ pack down service that Dan provides which made things super easy for us. Dan liaised with the caravan park to arrange set up etc and communicated this with us. The van was clean and easy to use and accommodated us perfectly. We will definitely be using Dans van again and would recommend to others.
