Hired the big 250 for 6 days to tow the rowing clubs trailer to Melbourne and back. The trailers only 2.3 tonnes, but at 12m long and 3.4m high the boats and bar lattice make for an aerodynamic handbrake. The F250 is a noticeable improvement over my 3.0L Patrol, tackling the long hills on the Hume with ease, with the occasional shift down to 3rd the 7.3L comes to life to maintain the speed limit. Averaged 26L/100km but the 270L tank meant we never needed to stop just for fuel. The cabin is large, comfortable and drivers seat still reasonably supportive despite the age. CarPlay and cruise control make for a comfortable highway drive. The reserving camera is spot on and the large mirrors provide good visibility one used to them. The drawers and canopy space was ideal for our needs although some might require extra security. Daryl was helpful and responsive and took the time to thoroughly go over all aspects of the vehicle. Would highly recommend if youre in need of a large, safe and powerful tow vehicle

We hired the F250 for eight weeks to tow a 22ft/3.3T caravan through NSW and Queensland. She is a big old girl: rough and ready, loud, full of character, and with plenty of torque and space. The tray has a great drawer system that stores a huge amount of gear in an organised way, which made travelling much easier. Also has an additional battery in the tray with Andersen and 12v outlets for accessories. She is a 20+ year old vehicle, so do not expect modern creature comforts, though she does have a Kenwood sound system with CarPlay and a UHF radio. We covered around 7,500km without any issues, and averaged 22.2L/100km over the whole trip. It would benefit from airbag suspension for towing larger vans fully loaded, though we still managed fine without it. Daryl is a lovely guy with excellent communication and quick responses throughout the trip. Overall, a solid and memorable tow vehicle for our roadtrip adventure.

Daryl is a fantastic, helpful and friendly person to deal with. The tow vehicle was as described and definitely up to the task. I thoroughly enjoyed the vehicle. I highly recommend using him.
