Pebbly Beach Campground
About 50km north of Coffs Harbour, Pebbly Beach Campground is the perfect beachside getaway for families, couples and solo-adventurers alike! True to its name Pebbly Beach is very, well, pebbly. Known for its gravel-like sand and open stretch of beach, the campsite itself is mere steps away!
The campground itself has over 70 sites, suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans and campervans!
Getting there
Reaching this secret beach is not without its offroad challenges, but we promise you this place is truly spectacular and one of the best campsites on the coast. From Sydney, you are heading out on the Pacific Highway for 540km arriving at Coffs Harbour. Be sure to stock up on everything you need before heading to the campsite. Take the unsealed road and be ready to drive along the beach, cross a little saltwater estuary, and bam - you’ve found yourself in a little slice of heaven.
Settle into the spacious campsite, check out the surf, fishing spots, and short walks nearby but ultimately kick back and relax. This idyllic campground is the perfect off-grid adventure for those up to the challenge.

Staying there
The campground is located In the Yuraygir National Park, 20km from Corindi Beach and 57km from Grafton.
Access and road conditions
Low range is required when driving on the beach as sand can be soft. It is recommended that you should only attempt this route with a 4WD.
Camping and facilities
You will find 70 campsites here, drinking water and toilets. Pebbly beach is reserved for Tent, Camper trailer sites, and Caravans. Rates and availability are displayed online when making a booking and you can stay in the area for a maximum of 21 days should you have the time.
Fuel & supplies
Grafton has plenty of service stations and shops, so pick up food and water here or stock up in Coffs.
Yuraygir National Park
You will find Yuraygir National Park between Yamba and Coffs Harbour and this is the perfect destination for a family fun-filled summer holiday. This national park is known for hosting the state's longest stretch of undeveloped coastline. Do you know what that means? Epic views, sandy beaches, and the 65km of striking cliffs are great for whale watching.
The adventure is never-ending in the national park; discover rare Australian wildlife, remote campgrounds, and quaint coastal villages peppered along the coast. If your family are into the great outdoors then swimming, fishing and hiking are on the cards in this aquatic playground.
Things to do and see
While the campsite itself is its own secluded paradise, it’s only a short drive from the nearest town.

1. Go exploring - via kayak!
The summer holidays are the best time to get out as a family and experience new things. Have you thought about a kayak tour? Hit the water with Bay and Beyond Sea kayaks for a full day exploring the local area and gain a new perspective on the beauty of the coastline.
2. Test your skills horseback riding
How about a little horseback riding? Just 15km away from the Pebbly Beach Campground you will find Timbertops Stud and Riding School. Kids love an adventure especially when it can include their favourite barnyard animals.
3. Discover the region's incredible walking trails
If a little budget-busting activity is more your style then bring along a pair of binoculars and head out on one of the many walking trails in the area for a day of wildlife spotting. Make your way to Snapper Point at Pretty Beach or Nothern head lookout to spot migrating whales, dolphins can also be spotted all year round.
