Camplify's 5 best travel picks for Western Australia November
)
Well folks, the silly season is almost upon us. The first inkling of summer is right around the corner, and we can bet that you’re just as excited as us to get out and explore the majesty of the outdoors. But before we get there, we’ve still got to navigate November. An underrated month for travelling, November offers all the benefits of the summer months without the crowds and prices of the peak season. Here at Camplify we’ve still got plenty of awesome vans with availability all month, so let’s have a look at what makes WA the place to go in November.
Get quokka mad on Rottnest Island

If you’re planning a visit to Western Australia, chances are you’ve already placed Rottnest Island close to the top of the itinerary. The stunning nature reserve off the coast of Perth home to over 10,000 quokka’s, one of nature's very finest creations, is a top destination for any road trip. Park the van in the capital and head over the waters to spot the unbearably cute marsupials, dive off white sand beaches into turquoise waters, and explore the magnificent scenery on foot with a number of incredible hikes. November means less crowds, warm waters, and quokka’s that have been waiting all winter for some keen visitors.
Step back in time in Nambung National Park

Did you know your Camplify van moonlights as a time machine? That is, if you’re heading up to the other-worldly beauty of the Pinnacles Desert of course. 200 km north of Perth, leave the twinkling city lights behind for a glimpse into the ancient history of Australia, as you wander between the stromatolites, epic rock formations from the dawn of time. It doesn’t get much more ancient than that! November sees the local wildflowers bloom across the horizon, providing a stark contrast against the sandy expanse of the desert, coastal plains, and sweeping beaches of the West Coast.
Explore Australia’s other Great Reef in Exmouth

Ticked off the Great Barrier Reef from the bucket list? Fear not adventurers, Australia isn’t home to just the one reef! Straddling the North West Cape at the top of WA, Ningaloo Reef is a must-see stopover on your travels through the West. November is the start of turtle season, where you can dive between the waves to get a glimpse of three of the world's marine turtle species. Crowds are noticeably lower in the shoulder month, so you can spend more time feasting your eyes on the animals and coral rather than that bloke from Melbourne in front of you.
Wind your way through Margaret River in Kambarang season

The traditional owners of the land in Margaret River, the Wadandi People, call October and November ‘Kambarang’ or ‘Season of Birth’ for the transformation the South-West region undergoes this time of year. With the wildflowers blooming, and summer inching closer, it marks the perfect time to road trip through the ever-changing landscape. Visit craft breweries, boutique wineries and renowned restaurants against the backdrop of one of Australia’s most gob-smackingly gorgeous regions. Adventures aplenty outside of the culinary delights await you too, with hikes, beaches and activities to satisfy any kind of traveller.
Vibe it out in Fremantle

The small port city that is threatening every year to steal the spotlight away from its bigger brother Perth, Fremantle is an excellent destination in its own right, no longer just as a day trip from the capital. With wonderfully preserved Victorian and gold rush era architecture, a thriving and trendy scene of cafes and bars, and as a launching pad for adventure in and around the city, you’re spoilt for choice upon arrival. As we cannot stress enough, November means smaller crowds, lower prices and warm weather. Reason enough to head there right now we think. See you there.
