How to boost your visibility with Camplify owner badges
Sharing your van with the community is about more than just listing a vehicle; it is about building trust and providing a seamless experience for hirers. One of the best ways to show the community you are a reliable, top-tier owner is by earning badges for your listing. These little icons act like a local recommendation, telling hirers that you are active, responsive, and provide a high-quality service.
Believe it or not, badges can have large impact to your business. One owner reported anecdotally, "badges are the best thing that Camplify has done for my listing! We're up about 30% from last year and we love it."
Whether you offer pickup from your driveway or delivery to a local caravan park, these badges help your listing stand out in search results. Here is how the system works and how you can pick up these digital stamps of approval.
The badges you can earn
Badges are calculated daily, meaning your hard work is recognised almost immediately. However, it also means you need to stay consistent to keep them active. They are based purely on data, and our search technology picks up the listing and applies the feature.
See the example below of how some badges appear to hirer
(As at 02/02/26)
Instant book ️
This badge tells hirers they can book your van immediately without waiting for a manual approval. It is perfect for owners who keep an up-to-date calendar and want to streamline the hiring process.
The criteria: Simply enable the 'Instant book' feature on your listing settings.
Hirer favourite
This is the gold standard for established listings. It tells the community that your van consistently delivers a great experience.
The criteria: You need more than 10 reviews with an average rating of at least 4.9 stars. You also need to stay 'engaged' by responding to your booking requests promptly.
Super owner
The ultimate mark of a seasoned pro. This badge is reserved for those who have shared their van many times and maintained an near-perfect track record.
The criteria: Reach more than 50 reviews with an average rating of 4.9 stars or higher.
Responds Rapidly
In the world of peer-to-peer sharing, speed matters. Hirers often reach out to a few owners when planning their trip, and the quickest to reply usually gets the booking.
The criteria: Maintain an average response time of 24 hours or less over the past three months.
Responds Reliably
If you cannot always get to your phone instantly but still make sure every hirer gets an answer, this badge is for you.
The criteria: Maintain an average response time of 48 hours or less over the past three months.
Staying engaged: The key to keeping your badges
To hold onto badges like 'Hirer favourite', you need to be an active member of the community. Camplify looks at your activity over the last month to see if you are 'engaged'.
The main thing that can hurt your status is letting booking requests expire. When a hirer requests your van, you have three days to respond. If you don't, the request is auto-cancelled due to inactivity. To keep your badges, you need to ensure you are responding to the vast majority of your enquiries.
Pro tip: If you have Instant book enabled, every booking is treated as an immediate response, which automatically helps your engagement status.
Practical tips to level up your listing
If you are looking to earn your first badge or move from 'Responds Reliably' to 'Responds Rapidly', try these simple habits:
Download the app: It is the easiest way to get notifications on the go so you can reply to hirers while you are out and about.
Update your calendar weekly: If your van is unavailable because you are using it yourself, mark it off. This prevents hirers from sending requests you have to decline.
Set clear expectations: In your listing description, mention if you prefer pickup or if you are happy to provide delivery to specific local spots. Clear communication leads to better reviews.
The 24-hour rule: Try to check your messages at least once a day. Even a quick "I'll check the dates and get back to you this evening" counts as a response and keeps your stats healthy.
Earning badges isn't just about the icons; it is about showing the Camplify community that you are a helpful, local owner ready to help them hit the road.
