Kayaking Hopping into a kayak is one of the best ways to see more of this vast and stunning region. Teach the kids to paddle and go for a short jaunt along the river. Or, if you’re an adrenaline junkie, you’ll love the rapids further upstream.
Hiking You can’t head to the Honeymoon Pools and not check out the eye-catching surrounding region. Some of the walking trails even start at the campground, so they are incredibly easy to access.
To follow the river to the kiosk at the dam, head down the Jabitj Trail. Or set off on the Kurliiny Tjenangitj if you’re ready to climb up towards the lookout for a scenic 360-degree view of the valley.
Swimming This remote region has plenty of isolated swimming spots, so you may be lucky enough to discover a peaceful oasis you can have to yourself all day long. A few of your options are Long Pool, Little Rock, Big Rock, or The Rapids. Jump into the refreshing waters to enliven your senses and float the day away, feeling fully relaxed.
