5 Days in South Western Australia with Salty Aura
)
The opening of the Western Australia border is finally almost upon us, and after what feels like forever, we're so excited for the rest of the country to be able to adventure and explore the wonders of the western state! To celebrate, we sent Jade and Jake from Salty Aura on a five-day trip around Southern Western Australia in Wander Out West Campervans latest addition to the family, Frankie the van! Read on as they take us along their journey and their recommended must-see spots.

Last week Jake and I were lucky enough to fly over to Western Australia to explore the beautiful coastline there for the week. As soon as our flights were locked in, we jumped straight onto Camplify to pick out a van for our trip. I genuinely love this website, and the campervans listed on there always have so much character, and you can always find something epic to suit you. We were almost going to pick a troop carrier similar to the one we own, but decided to try something different this time. We chose the beautiful van ‘Frankie’ from Wander out West.

ROTTNEST ISLAND
Before picking Frankie up, we decided to book a trip to Rottnest Island for the night. Usually, people do day trips here, arriving in the early morning and leaving on the last ferry back to Fremantle. However, we were lucky to stay the night with a group of 8 friends, giving us more time to explore the island. You can hire bikes for $30 a day (ebike $70), and snorkel gear for $20. There are 63 beaches on the island, so we guarantee you are in for an adventure. There are 22km of bicycle trails, so make sure you fill your backpack up with water and snacks.

DUNSBOROUGH
Once back on the mainland, we picked Frankie up and headed straight down to Dunsborough. We checked out Dunsborough beach, Meelup beach and Eagle Bay. This area is filled with stunning beaches, so the best thing to do is spend a day beach hopping to discover what's around.
YALLINGUP
10 minutes down from Dunsborough is Yallingup. This area is filled with even more beautiful beaches, and we recommend not missing Injidup Natural Spa, The Aquarium, and cooking up breakfast/dinner at Smiths Beach.

BORANUP FOREST VIEW POINT
One of our favourite spots in the area was Boranup Forest View Point. We got here around 5pm, and the sun was shining softly through the trees making the place look even more magical. We left around 6:30pm to make it in time for sunset at Conto Cliffs.

CONTO CAMPGROUND AND CLIFFS
We recommend staying at Conto Campground, and watching sunset at the Conto Cliffs.

If you're looking at exploring South Western Australia for yourself, head to Wander Out West Campervans to check out Frankie and other gorgeous vans for hire! Head to our website to search through our wide range of vans located Western Australia for your next trip.
