Walpole Wilderness Area

Explore the towering Eucalyptus trees in the Walpole Wildnerness Area.

Surrounded by towering forests and natural goodness the town of Walpole is an excellent base for a family adventure. The region is made up of seven different national parks collectively known as the Walpole Wilderness area. Think lush green jarrah forests and spectacular ocean views. Established in 2004 the Walpole covers more than 363,000 hectares of wilderness reserve making this area a nature lover's dream.

Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk

You can’t miss a visit to the Tree Top Walk. Uniquely blending the environment and a magnificent, suspended walkway 40m in the air it is designed to immerse you in the tingle forest. The 600m walk suspends effortlessly providing a gentle connection with nature.

Conspicuous Cliff

Conspicuous by name and nature. This towering cliff showcases views down over a pristine beach and over to another lookout, it’s a great stop & photo spot. Better yet, this is a popular whale watching area so don’t forget your binoculars.

The Turquoise Coast

The Pinnacles

Explore one of Australia's most fascinating landscapes, the Pinnacles desert. Thousands of huge limestone pillars rise from the sand and contrast against the beautiful background. You will find coastal dunes, isolated beaches, and some of Australia's most loved animals.

Sandy Cape Recreation Park

A campground and recreation area in Jurien Bay is also home to white sandy beaches and idyllic waters. Swim, snorkel, fish, and sandboard until your heart's content. Perfect spot for those looking to get off the beaten track.

Luckily for you, Sandy cape is a great place to base. With 88 dedicated campsites suitable for campers and caravans, this dream location is accessible for all. With gas BBQs, flushing toilets, and showers you will be set for a few days. Bring your water and power supply to enjoy the off-grid goodness.

Camp fees do apply and can be paid in the honesty box at the entry road or to the onsite caretaker.

Greenhead Caravan Park

Green Head is a small friendly little town on the coast, just north of Perth and close to Turquoise Drive. The Park is packed with a large range of facilities to make you stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Bremer Bay

Known as a summer escape for many this south coastal paradise is cool, calm, and collected. Beautiful beaches, tropical waters and, enough activity to keep you busy for weeks. Fish, dive, snorkel, or scuba Bremer has it all. If your kids love the salt and the sand, then be sure to beach hop every day exploring somewhere new.

What to do

Explore under the sea at Bremer Bay. One of the most spectacular places to explore in Australia and this unique underwater environment is appealing to all. You can dive or snorkel and be prepared to see some incredible underwater beings.

Keen to hit the inland route for a day? Bremer Bay is excellent for bushwalking. Strap on your hiking boots and head into the national park. West Mount Barren and Point Ann Heritage Trail are great places to start.

If 4WD is your thing then head to the beach for off-grid camping at its finest. You need a 4WD to get to these locations, and you will need to be self-sufficient. Explore Peppermint Beach and from there, you can either set up camp next to the water, or push on and explore, Doubtful Bay, House Beach, and Tooregullup Beach.

Bremer Bay Beaches Resort Tourist Park

Nestled in a peppermint grove this resort is the gateway to Point Henry Peninsula, providing easy access to the 8 beaches in Bremer Bay. You will find all the creature comforts you need here and there is even a pool for the kids. Pet friendly too so no family member is left behind.

Collie

Two hours south of Perth will lead you to Collie. Home to picturesque hiking trails and lakes. If your kids love being in the great outdoors, then this area is the perfect escape. A visit to Wellington National Park is a must-do for the hiking and mountain bike enthusiasts out there. Depending on your fitness level there are a variety of experiences to choose from. Hit the trails between the Honeymoon Pool and Quarry picnic area before retreating to bed in your home on wheels.

Geraldton
