Black Friday Sale wrap-up: How 300+ RV owners boosted their listings

Recently, we launched our new Owner Discount Codes feature, giving RV owners the flexibility and control to set their own discounts on their RVs. To kick things off, we ran a Black Friday promotion from 18 November to 2 December, offering hirers discounts on hundreds of RVs.
As our first-ever owner-discount campaign, the response was impressive. If you participated, you likely saw the boost in activity. If you didn’t, we’re sharing the numbers to show you exactly what’s possible, and to invite you to set your own discounts.
Why discount codes work
We introduced Owner Discount Codes to give you the flexibility to run your own promotions, any time. Whether you want to run a public sale or create a private code for friends, family, or repeat hirers (a great remarketing tool!), you are in control.
Opting into Camplify-run promotions like Black Friday, is also a great way to supercharge your listing. You benefit from more visibility and Camplify’s marketing, putting your van in front of thousands of potential hirer’s eyes, right when they are ready to book.
The offer: $100 off for hirers
For this campaign, owners opted in to offer a $100 discount to hirers using the code BLACKFRIDAY100.
While giving a discount might feel like losing revenue, the data shows owners can still secure high-value bookings. By opting in, owners received:
A "Sale" badge on their listing (making it stand out in search results).

Placement on a dedicated "Sale" collection page.

Additional marketing support from Camplify during the promotional period, including social media ads, Google ads and email blasts to our community of hirers.
A series of Black Friday marketing emails just like this one went to an audience of over 250,000 people!
The results
Here is how the Black Friday campaign performed:
Over 440 RV opt-ins: If you opted into our Black Friday promotion, you weren't alone! Over 300 owners opted in their RV listings, ensuring their vans were front-and-centre during the sales period. Many of those owners with multiple RVs opted in all of their listings, totalling over 440 RVs that were opted into the promotion.
352,442 impressions on our social media ads: Over 300,000 people on social media viewed our Black Friday sale ads

11,369 visitors to our sale collection page: That’s over 11,000 potential hirers browsing your van on the Black Friday collection page looking for a deal.
1367 booking requests: 1367 hirers were ready to lock in a discount using the BLACKFRIDAY100 code.
$1,400 average booking value: Even with the $100 discount applied, the average booking value remained high.
The takeaway? The incentive of a limited-time only $100 off secured additional bookings for owners, that might otherwise have gone to a competitor or a hotel.
