Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your adventure while keeping Oyster #1 in great condition for future explorers. Rates: Rent a fully equipped Toyota Hilux for $169.00 per day on normal days or $187.00 per day during peak season. Kilometer per day: You are allocated 300km a day and $.25 per kilometer over the allocated range. Otherwise you can opt for an Unlimited Daily Kilometer limit: $25.00/day Planning Your Trip: We encourage you to share your travel plans so we can provide up-to-date information on local conditions and road access. Oyster Mk1 is one of the toughest 4x4 campers in Australia, and we want to ensure you get the most out of your trip. In special cases, we may grant access to restricted areas based on your experience, at our full discretion. Respect the Vehicle and Environment: Enjoy exploring WA with Oyster Mk1, but please treat the vehicle and environment with care so that others can enjoy it too! Return Guidelines: 1.) Return the camper clean and ready for the next adventure. 2.) Strip the bed sheets and leave them ready for washing. 3.) A quick high-pressure clean at a DIY Rhino Wash and a vacuum inside are suitable. 4.) Do not wash the rooftop tent. 5.) Clean any grease from the hotplate before storing it. 6.) Fill the tank with diesel before returning. There is a petrol station just 2 minute away from our location. 7.) Please select the “Clean the Van for Me” option if you're unable to clean the vehicle at the end of your hire. Additional cleaning charges may apply if the vehicle is returned in an unclean state. 8.) Please select the “Outback Trip Clean - Excluding Toilet” option if the vehicle is exposed to red dust and you’re unable to thoroughly clean it inside and out. Extra charges may apply if red dust is not properly cleaned upon return. 9.) Please review the Open-Shell Adventures - Cleaning Standards Document for more information. Please DO: - Enjoy yourself! - Ask questions if needed. - Have an incredible holiday! Please DO NOT: - Smoke in the vehicle. - Go through drive-throughs, underground parking, or automatic car washes (the vehicle is too tall). - Store fish or fishing bait in the car (cleaning fees will apply). - Exceed the speed limit. Please note that you are not permitted to stop the vehicle or park under the high tide water level at any beach Driving through water is not covered by insurance and is done so at the hirers own risk. No salt-water contact at any given time.

  We completed a round trip from Perth to Exmouth in Oyster Mk 1. Everything was great. I really appreciated Paiges highly responsive communication. We took the option of pick up and drop off at the airport which was super convenient. We had such an awesome trip in Oyster Mk 1. The car was well equipped with everything we needed and drove and handled really well. I would not hesitate in recommending Open Shell Adventures. Thanks Paige and Steven.   The van was kitted out perfectly with everything we needed for a road trip around WA. The spacious fridge and dual power supply allowed us to be self-sufficient and the rooftop tent could be set up and taken down very quickly and easily. Paige and Stephen were always available for any queries we had along the way. We would definitely use Open-Shell campers again for our next trip!

  10 out of 10 for Oyster 1, we were delighted with the vehicle and the generous and swift support from owner Stephen, which meant we had a fabulous trip. This Toyota Hilux is very well set up and equipped. It is comfortable, high spec and very safe. We spent 31 nights in the roof tent travelling from Perth to Broome and back; it performed beautifully throughout. You are ready for the outback from the moment you drive off, with a large fridge and freezer and long lasting lithium power. Small enough for a supermarket car park yet with capable off road performance it was the ideal choice for our epic journey; we highly recommend Oyster 1 and will be back for more.   Traveling with the Oyster MK1 was an absolute pleasure, the ute is really well kitted with everything you need for the perfect camping/4x4 trip. Steve and Paige were really helpful and great with communication, will highly recommend booking the Oyster MK1 for your next adventure.
