Kate-T" is part of the "Clan Jumo Campers" and is named after my Daughter Kate and Step daughter Katie who are both smart and sophisticated ladies. Like them "Kate-T" has all the sophistication that Mercedes is known for, pure german quality and refinement. She is a pleasure to drive with a 3.0L V6 engine, which is both smooth and powerful while economical, achieving near 8L/100km. She is fitted with electric brakes so if you’re looking for a tow vehicle, she is hard to beat. Kate-T comes into own as an ideal touring van, as she is set up with: - solar battery system so perfectly suited to off-grid camping, - a luxurious and incredibly comfortable double bed, - fully equipped pull out kitchen, cooking & eating utensils, plates, cups etc - large 60litre draw fridge - roll out awning which can be enclosed as a tent room. - table and 2 chairs. Also for a small fee the following can be supplied: - portapoti, - solar showers and tent - bike rack & bikes - Inflatable paddle boards - 15 Litre freeze which sits conveniently between front seats.

Additional information

How our Clan began Caravan and Camping Despite Dad and Mum having a brood of 5 children under the age of 7 years old, it did not stop them blessing their family by taking the clan on many holidays. Being a teacher, holidays were plentiful but money wasn't, but that didn't deter Ivor. In 1964 he set about, designed and built a 18ft bond wood caravan with the help of the school's Design and Tech Teacher (the salt of the Earth) to accommodate the Clan. It was completed in the same year, along with 12ft bond wood dinghy. "Let the Clan Holidays begin" and that they did. It was the beginning of fun and adventure for the whole Clan. Rarely did school holidays occur without an adventure somewhere. In 1968 Dad took Long Service Leave and he and Mum undertook to take the family on and epic adventure to show the family Australia. They packed up the caravan, took all the kids out of school for a term and headed east across the Nullabour. (All gravel then) We travelled all the way up the East Coast to North Queensland and back down again and even a lap around Tasmania. In the same way that Mum & Dad didn’t have heaps of money to stay in hotels and motels, our aim is to provide a budget friendly option for you to explore and discover this great country. Hire Fee: From $120.00 per day
Service fee: $70.00
Delivery fee: $2.00 per km

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Glenn was very detail and informative. The van was in great conditions and everything worked amazingly. There is storage, the cooking section with drawers for cutlery, pots and pans, even a pantry section (very handy). Would definitely recommend for a van trip around the south west coast.

The van is absolutely brilliant and has everything you need. We were very comfortable and would love to rebook in the future. Glenn is also great and was very helpful throughout the process.

We had the best holiday in Katie T. The van was well equipped with everything we needed and such a comfortable way to explore the WA coast line. We did not have any issues but during communication with Glenn it was easy and very responsive. The van was spacious and super clean. I would highly recommend this rental for a WA roadtrip : )

My sister and I hired Glenns van and we couldnt have been happier! From the start of organising the trip to handing it back to Glenn everything went so smoothly and the van was the perfect little home for our 11 day trip! It was beautiful to drive and had absolutely everything we needed. So so happy we found Katie-T and so grateful to Glenn!

The ride was smooth and easy to drive. The holiday was great using the van. The annex and outer tent were very practical and useful. The bed was super comfy and cosy. All the essential elements for a great trip were included. I would definitely recommend hiring the van if you're wanting a great trip in WA.
