Linen is charged per set 1 set (high quality) (2 pillows + cases / Donna + doona cover / fitted sheet) Camping chairs and table charged per 2 seats Please be aware that each rental comes with 150 kilometres per day included, with every additional kilometre priced at 0.45 cents. For example, a 5-day rental would include a total of 750 kilometres. There is no limit on the number of kilometres you can travel, but please keep in mind that additional kilometres will be billed at the end of the rental. FAQ’s  How long does the battery last? The basic, with normal use, fridge, lights and water pump the battery would have a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 24 hours of operating time for the fridge. Expanded, the van has a 110AH battery, the fridge consumes approximately 6Ah water pump 5Ah, lights 2Ah, however the fridge can only use the battery until it is half empty while the lights and water pump can drain the battery completely. Charging the van?  The van charges at 20-30Ah when the engine is on. Solar at peak will get up to 10Ah in  240V power site will get 18Ah in  Does the van needs to be connected to power to work? No, the van can work without power, however, it does not unlimited power supply. Read about how long the battery lasts for more detailed information. What happens if the battery goes flat? The van has 2 batteries, starting battery would only go flat if you forgot something on, lights, or the key in the switch, when and if this battery goes flat we offer 24h Australia wide road side assistance that will come to help you in this case. Secondary (house) battery, in the case this battery goes flat, you will need to follow one of the charing options (see FAQ charing the van)  In this case the fridge is the first thing to stop working.  What happens if we have a breakdown? We take all steps to make sure this never happens, our vans are regularly Mechanically inspected, at must 6 months apart, and we take your safety very seriously.  However, in the rare case this might happen call Camplify support for Australia-wide road side assistance. We always get on to repairs ASAP, repairs of breakdowns (not user fault, such as a flat tyre due to a nail) will be covered fully by Byron Bay campers, and we will take care of a replacement vehicle if the repairs cannot be done within a reasonable amount of time.  Do we need to turn the fridge off? The fridge can run overnight if the power is managed properly. Does the van have solar? Please see each specific van, most of our vans have a permanent solar panel, some a portable one at an extra cost.  How big is the water tank? 45L  Can we pick them up in tweed heads and drop them elsewhere? Yes, we charge a normal rate of $4.00.5 per kilometre delivery away from the base, This price is general only and will be quoted per a booking, pending availability and demand. Yes we can drop off or deliver How does the microwave work? The microwave only works when connected to 240v power at a power site. This goes for the 240v sockets in the van. Can I charge my devices while the van is off? Yes, you can, this will affect the total power available for the rest of the items in the van, and the iPhone can take up to 2ah, iPad more, and laptop more.

• We expect the van to return clean from the inside while the out should be cleaned in the case of mud or contamination on the exterior, otherwise, a normal wash and wipe is included in the rental.
• Late dropoff and early pickup is %50 of the daily rate.
• Pick up from 10:30 am Drop off is by 5:00 pm, please message or call with ETA for a quicker pickup and drop off.
• Refuel fee: $50.00 (when the van is returned with less than a full tank of fuel) The vans are supplied with a full petrol tank.

  Review of The Beach Shack Campervan (3-night stay, Mt Tamborine) We had a great time in The Beach Shack campervan during our 3-night stay at a powered campsite in Mt Tamborine. It was our first camping trip with our 10-month-old, and the campervan made it super comfortable for the whole family. Comfort & Sleep: The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and we all got a great nights sleep despite being in a new setting. The van was well set up to accommodate us and our little one. Fridge: The fridge worked really well, although we had it on the coldest setting and it froze some of our food and drinks (it may have been a freezer setting?). After we adjusted the temperature, it worked perfectly. Cooking & Kitchen: We didnt use the gas cooktop since we had access to power and brought along an electric stove, so I cant comment on that. However, the microwave was a great help for thawing out some of our frozen food it worked without any issues. Issues/Minor Details: One of the flyscreens was missing on the passenger side, but the evenings were cool so it didnt bother us. The radios volume was a bit tricky to control. No matter what, we couldnt get it below a volume of 21, which was a bit loud at times. The inside handle on the backdoor seemed a bit loose. It still functioned fine but could probably use a little attention. The photos of the camper seem to be stock images, and while the van does have a slightly older feel, it was still very clean and comfortable despite its "shabbiness." Final Thoughts: Overall, The Beach Shack was a great camper for our first family camping trip. Despite a few minor quirks, it was very comfortable, clean, and functional. We would definitely rent this camper again for future trips.

  The beach shack is the perfect van if you are travelling around, with huge of and covers all the necesities. Really nice adventure! I will rent it again for sure!

  Very good as a basic travel option. We weren't given a run down on things as the owner was busy doing other things because we arrived a bit late due to traffic. The van came with a full tank of fuel but no water (we were later told that we needed to tell them when booking if we wanted water or gas; so keep that in mind if booking and I think there is an extra charge for the gas). The powerpoints and microwave only work when plugged in at a powered site (another thing we weren't told about until later). You need to bring your own pillows as well as linen (or you can pay to hire these). If booking again I would do so with a powered camp site as the fridge drains the battery pretty quickly and we had to keep the engine running from time to time to recharge. As I said; no complaints as a basic travel option.
