Columbus is a Ford Transit van with a high roof and a unique, ‘floating’ bed designed to sleep two people. It has an automatic transmission, reversing camera, and drives just like a car. It can also be parked in a regular-size car bay, so no laps of the carpark looking for a big enough spot. Columbus is spacious enough to ensure that your holiday is comfortable, but small enough to keep that great feeling of adventure. Two batteries, and rooftop solar panels will keep your lights on, phones charged (six USB ports) and the fridge cold no matter where you wander. Staying at a caravan park? Simply connect the van’s hose to the park’s water supply, and flip the switch for hot water. Columbus does not have a water tank so, if you are planning to go off-grid, there are two, 20-litre water bottles stowed on-board. Columbus has a variety of indoor and outdoor lighting options, regardless of whether you are on, or off, grid. SPACE & COMFORT Plenty of shelves and storage hatches for food and clothing. Hiring rules

No smoking allowed inside the van.
DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required.
NO OFFROAD / NO Beach Driving / NO Extended Gravel Roads/ NO Smoking inside. A $100.000 cleaning and maintenance applies if this rule is breached.
CLEANING Return the van in clean condition. Excessive cleaning will incur a charge.
UNSEALED roads must be preapproved in writing in Camplify messages before the trip begins. Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of insurance coverage.
EMERGENCY If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 1300 416 133 they will advise on how to contact NRMA. Then call me!
LONG TRIPS 200 km's a day is included in the booking price. You will be charged 50c per kilometre for additional km travelled over the total allowance. This is calculated within camplifys pre/post hire checklist
FUEL Return full of DIESEL All hires include a full tank upon departure.
COOKING GAS Return FULL refilled from petrol stations

Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $180.00 per day
Service fee: $130.00

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Colombus was everything that we hoped for and more. Simon and Andrea had it equipped with everything we needed. They took the time to run through everything with us and showed us how everything worked and was stored, before we departed for our West Coast trip to Esperance and back to Perth. This van has everything you need. Spacious, great cooking facilities and a very comfortable bed, it was our first experience of the camping lifestyle and we now are planning our next camping trip as a result. Will definitely be recommending this van and Simon & Andrea to our friends and would love to use it again for another trip!

Great van and well equipped with everything you could possible need, very smooth to drive as well. Simon was a fabulous host, outlined what the van had from front to back. Highly recommend !!!!!

First things first - this is a great van. The pop out bead only takes a few mins to set up and put away and is sooo worth it to be able to sleep stretched out compared with vans that have the bed going across the vehicle. However what made really made the trip was the advice and tips that Simon shared with us. A great guy to hire from Highly recommended.

This was my second time using the van after my trip in 2022. Once again the van was extremely comfortable and easy to drive. It had everything that we needed, the bed was particularly comfortable for a taller guy like me. Both Simon and Andrea were great in offering ideas and assistance. I look forward to another trip around WA in the van.

Simon and Andrea were great, the van was amazing and the set up was easy. It's a big van but handles really well and that means less stress for your holiday. The size also means that when it's all set up it's super comfy and roomy! Can recommend more.
