Hiring rules
- To help keep our service fee low the van must be returned in a clean and tidy condition. Cleaning products are provided.
- Toilet must be returned empty and clean. We provide bleach to rinse the toilet cartridge also.
- A cleaning fee of $150.00 will be charged if the van is returned in an untidy state. If owner is required empty and clean the toilet cartridge, a fee of $200.00 will be charged. We can organise a clean for you if you need for an extra charge.
- Pets are welcome with prior approval and of course any damages to the van from your pet must be covered by you. No pets on beds or couches please.
- No smoking in or near van, no fires near van where embers can land on awning. Please keep the windows and doors shut when smoke is blowing towards van to keep the van smelling great inside.
- No more than 2 adults allowed per hire.
- Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations
Flexible
- Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
- Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
- Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Heath 3.8Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. We picked up the caravan and arrived at our destination only to find we couldnt connect the 240v power to the fridge, meaning we had to run it on gas the entire time. Communication with the owner was poor throughout, and when a major issue occurred with the electric brake unit failing, things only got worse. It took multiple attempts to get in contact with the owner, as the only communication channel was through Camplify. In the end, we had to contact Camplify directly for assistance, who advised that the owner should have provided a direct contact number. When we finally spoke to the owner, they had no idea how to resolve the issue and told us to contact Camplify again to arrange towing. Because we were over 300km away, Camplify advised the owner needed to authorise the tow which they refused to do due to the cost of excess kilometres. Instead, we were told to take the caravan to a local auto electrician, pay for repairs ourselves, and be reimbursed later. Thankfully, we were lucky enough to find a local auto electrician who could help. They confirmed the electric brake unit was completely fried and kindly loaned us a replacement so we could get home safely. What should have been a 4-hour return trip turned into an exhausting 8.5-hour journey. Overall, a very stressful experience.

Thank you for your feedback and for the excellent ratings for accuracy of listing and tidiness. We work hard to ensure that our hirers have a good hiring experience and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience of the brake controller ceasing to work on the return trip. When the issue arose, I spoke to the hirer within the hour and did my best to advise without being able to see exactly what was happening. I then spent over an hour on the phone to arrange solutions including finding the local auto electrician to see if it was a quick fix. A local place for the van to be towed had also been found if it was needed. The auto electrician found that water had got into the brake controller and was able to hire out a temporary replacement which I reimbursed the hirer for. On handover I met the hirer and collected the van from a location convenient to them to minimise their inconvenience due to the extended trip home. The fridge works fine in 240v I tested it before hire and when the van was returned. The instructions say that it takes time to get down to temperature. The hirer and I exchanged multiple messages about this and I never heard back that the issue was not resolved. Thank you for hiring our StarCraft Outback.
