Perfect for vintage lovers and adventure seekers, who prefer to use their car freely after setting up camp. Peggy offers a unique retro camping experience with all her original restored features. Sleeping & Seating: • Sleeps 2 on a double-king single sized bed (maximum load 130 kg). • Seating bench with storage and a kitchen bench with built-in sink. • Vintage cooler box included for drinks and snacks. Vintage Features: • All original, restored to her 1952 look. • Barn door fold-down system with screen door for clever entry. • Homemade vintage-style awning. • Optional double stove, vintage camp chairs, and tables included. Towing & Size: • Compact and lightweight: 6 ft long × 6 ft wide, weighs less than 300 kg. • Can be towed by any small vehicle with a towbar. Please Note: • Peggy is fragile and very much a vintage darling, so she’s best suited to someone who will handle her with care. • Bed is fold-out style on hinges above the axle — requires car while sleeping. • Some minor quirks in the door and latches, typical of her early 1950s design, add to her character.

Special towing information

This caravan is extremely light weight, so you can tow it legally behind most normal cars that have a tow-ball. Because of the weight and no boxiness, it can tend to swing with winds or high speed driving. If you notice the caravan swinging, please reduce speed until the swinging stops and continue at 80km/hr.

Peggy is a handy little camper for those who want the comforts of being above ground while camping! Suitable for two small humans or one big one 😆 Quick setup, and you have a nearly full sized caravan! Suitable for towing behind any small car because of her lightweight, we originally purchased her to tow behind our Suzuki Jimny.

Hiring rules

  • Peggy is a fragile original 1952 camper trailer, please only book her if you intend to treat her with respect.
  • She does not have off road capacities, she is too low to the ground and too fragile.
  • Pets will be allowed, but the same applies, please don’t let her get trashed.
  • We need to do a face to face handover to give clear instructions on use so you are well acquainted with Peggy’s quirks and can use her safely.
  • We are happy to deliver as far as south coast or central coast as long as we have ample notification to organise the transport.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
