Tukana was great partner for exploring Tas.. very well equipped and the ideal size for two of us on the narrow twisty roads around the island. Paul was very helpful with advice and suggestions and always responded promptly to any messages. 5 stars all round!

We hired a van named Lana and she came spotlessly clean and fully kitted out with everything we needed cleaning materials, kitchen supplies, towels, chairs, and a table all included as standard. We added on two paddle boards, which were perfect for relaxing along the East Coast in the sunny weather. Paul's communication was excellent throughout the entire experience from the booking process, where he handled our requests and amendments with ease, right through to the return of the van. I accidentally broke one of the chairs, and there was also a minor wear and tear issue with the van itself, but Paul couldn't have been more understanding about both. He didn't attempt to pin the wear and tear on us or charge for the broken chair that kind of honesty and goodwill says a lot about the person behind the business. Paul is a local, which made it even more special knowing we were supporting a small local business. We loved spotting other Tasvanlife vans at various spots along our journey. Highly recommended!

To start with, Paul is an amazing guy. Very friendly and happy to help you with anything you need. Loved the detailed Google map he provided with all the places he loves in Tasmania. This map makes it easier to find hidden gems (hiking, eating, sleeping, shopping etc). We rented Larila, which is a well equiped van. Looks modern inside, with a very comfortable big bed and pillows for 2 people. There are lots of tiny details like an USB-C charger input, reading light, salt, pepper, oil, binoculars and even sunscreen. So you just need to buy the food you actually want to cook (and Toilet paper). It comes with 2 outside chairs and table too. It holds plenty of water for cleaning dishes and a cold shower. There are enough water refill points in Tasmania as well. You can see Paul invested a lot of time and money into his vans. I really recommend it!

We spent 10 days in kunai and these 10 days are in our top 3 trips. Kunai is a tough 4x4 classic with everything what is needed to explore Tasmania. Although it is a little bit slower It reached the places about which a standard campervan user could only dream about. Paul is a very flexible and friendly person. He was always ready to help so we felt very supported and safe on our trip.

We had an awesome time travelling around Tassie in this van! Paul was clear and concise with his explanation of everything to do with the van and we felt totally prepared to road trip from the map and bits included in the van, we had a lovely holiday and will definitely book again when we return in future!

Great van and a perfect way to see Tasmania! It came fully loaded with all the essentials like water tank, kitchen gear, and bedding, making it easy to stay self-sufficient. Paul was a pleasure to work withhighly recommend!
