Ready for your own van adventure on the Sunshine Coast, but overwhelmed by the possibilities. We don’t blame you. With pristine beaches and islands, and mountains all within driving distance, it can be hard to decide where to head. So we asked our Sunshine Coast “van-trepreneurs” Kim & Claire, Greg & Lauren for their favourite spots. This is what they said.

If you'd like to know more about how Kim & Claire, Greg & Lauren started with Camplify, you can read their story here .

Noosa North Shore

“You can pull your caravan on a beautiful beach site and it’s quiet,” says Kim McLeod. The lack of cell phone service, he says, is just the icing on the cake. “It forces you to switch off, relax and enjoy lots of family beach time.”

Coolum Beach Holiday Park

Kim saysthis caravan park is one of his favourites mainly for its location. On top of being right on the beach, it’s easy walking distance to shops, cafes and parks.

Rivershore Resort

As the name implies, this caravan park is located right on the Maroochy River in Diddillibah. Lauren Pullock says thatRivershore Resort is her family’s favourite for its resort-style amenities including the heated pool with slides, SUP and kayak hire for use on the river, children’s playground and an on-site restaurant.

Double Island Point

You need a 4WD to access Double Island Point, a long sand spit with a pair of giant sand dunes. But Kim says it’s worth the journey. Located in the Cooloola section of the Great Sandy National Park, there are a number of caravan parks in nearby Rainbow Beach.

Cotton Tree Holiday Park

With access to both the Maroochy River and the stunning Maroochydore Beach, this caravan park also tops Lauren's list. “One of the best family-friendly beaches is just steps away from your caravan door; the perfect spot for sundowners on the beach while the kids are splashing in the calm shallow waters,” she says.
