Understanding your damage protection options is essential before you accept your first booking.

MyWay Protect — Camplify's own protection

MyWay Protect is a discretionary protection product issued by MyWay Mutual Holdings Limited. It's specifically designed for RV owners and protects against accidental damage, theft, storm, hail, flood, fire, and malicious damage while your van is on hire — up to a market value of $250,000.

Important: MyWay Protect is not traditional insurance. It's a member-based mutual protection scheme. Claims are reviewed and approved at the discretion of the MyWay Mutual Board. While the vast majority of legitimate claims are approved, there is no automatic legal entitlement to payment. You should read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), Target Market Determination (TMD), and Financial Services Guide (FSG) to understand how it works.

How MyWay Protect works with each membership

  • Flexible: Up to 40 on-hire days per year covered. If your van is damaged on hire and a claim is approved, MyWay has you covered. You must maintain your own comprehensive insurance for personal use. Valid for approved hirers aged 25–84 holding an unrestricted driver's licence. 

  • Personal: Year-round personal use protection plus up to 40 on-hire days per year. 

  • Premium: Unlimited on-hire days and personal use protection. 7% commission rate with the MyWay Protect contribution built into your annual subscription. Off-road hire eligibility (if approved). Hirer age eligibility is from 21–84, holding an unrestricted licence. 

BYO Insurance

If you prefer to arrange your own insurance, you can choose a BYO membership. You'll need a comprehensive policy that covers commercial hire (rental to third parties), and you'll need to upload your certificate of currency to Camplify. In the event of damage, Camplify will handle the hirer, but may ask to confirm proof of your cover for on-hire.

What to do if damage occurs

  1. Ensure the hirer is safe first

  2. Gather information — photos, messages, and details from the hirer

  3. Report the damage through the platform within 48 hours

  4. Complete the post-hire checklist in the Camplify Owners App

  5. Camplify or MyWay Mutual will guide you through the claims process
