Getting started: What to know about fees

Camplify

Understanding the fee structure helps you price your van correctly and know exactly what you'll take home.

Owner fees (Listing Commission)

Camplify charges owners a Listing Commission on each booking. This is deducted from the hire fees paid by the hirer. The rate depends on your membership type:

  • Flexible: 16% total (7% Camplify commission + 9% MyWay Protect contribution)

  • Personal: 16% total (7% commission + 9% contribution), plus an annual subscription fee

  • Premium: 7% commission, plus an annual subscription fee (which includes your MyWay Protect contribution)

  • BYO: 12.5% commission plus insurance costs from your external provider

The commission is charged on hire fees, including fees for extras and delivery. It does not apply to the service fee, AER charges, or additional kilometre charges.

Hirer fees (Booking Fee)

Hirers pay a booking fee of 10.5% on top of the hire fee and extras (excluding the service fee). This covers Camplify's platform services, payment security, 24/7 roadside assistance, and support.

Accident Excess Reduction (AER)

Hirers choose an Accident Excess Reduction package when booking. This reduces their financial liability in the event of damage. The AER charge is paid by the hirer and doesn't affect owners.

What this means for your pricing

When setting your daily rate, factor in the commission. For example, if you're a Flexible member with a $100/day rate on a 10-day booking with $40 service fee and $50 extras:

  • Hire cost: $1,000

  • Service fee: $40

  • Extras: $50

  • Commission (7%): -$73.50

  • Your payout: approximately $1,016.50 (plus the service fee)
