  Our recent experience with a caravan rental was a rollercoaster ride of disappointment. The owner was the most irresponsible caravan owner. We roll up, excited for our family adventure, only to find out the gas bottles weren't checked properly. Result? No fridge or cooker for four days. Four days of living like pioneers without the luxury of cold drinks or hot meals. Not exactly the vacation vibe we were going for. And then there's the matter of the electrical brakes. We expect the person renting out a caravan to know a thing or two about its basic functionalities. We ended up cruising down the highway for a solid four hours relying solely on the brakes of our car to lug that heavy caravan behind us. Now, onto the horror show that awaited us inside. Ever heard of squatters? Well, it seems we unknowingly invited a colony of ants to join us on our trip. Two nests, people. Two. And one of them had set up camp right under the top bunk bed's mattress. It makes you wonder if the owner ever glanced inside this caravan before renting it out. Lift up that mattress and what do you find? A scene straight out of a horror movie. Ants, eggs, and mold galore. I kid you not, it was like a nightmare come to life. In conclusion, if you're in the market for a caravan rental, I suggest you steer clear of this one unless you're a fan of living on the edge and enjoy the company of uninvited insect guests. As for me, I'll be sticking to the good old-fashioned tent next time.
