We named our van The Snail, not because she's slow but because, like a snail, you can take your whole life with you in this van. She is an ex Britz camper, regularly serviced and is solid and reliable. We made some modifications, replacing the hard Britz mattresses with a very comfortable foam mattress which also freed up more space for storage. The snail has an easy up Coleman gazebo, complete with attachable walls and LED lights and a tailgate tent for a third guest or as extra storage when you set up camp. There is an optional bike rack if you want to take bikes with you on your travels (bikes not included).

Additional information

You have everything you need in the van for cooking and cleaning including a tea pot, coffee pot, bowls, plates, cutlery, pots and pans as well as tupperware storage containers for left overs. The fridge runs off the 12v battery which either charges as you drive or can be charged through mains power or the included solar panel. We also provide pillows and the van comes with a Doona with cover and sheets. Chairs and table, extra LPG stove for outdoor cooking as well as internal stove make cooking easy. There's 12v charging ports to keep your phones and tablets charged offgrid or you can plug into power for extra power for laptops and other electrical devices. There's a clothes line, pegs, a power board, bucket and extension lead as well as the RV lead and waterpipe to refill the water tank (cold water only). You just need yourselves, a sense of adventure and food! The van has three seats in the front and can easily accomodate a small family of either 2 adults and 1 child or 1 adult and 2 children (but no baby seat). Sorry, no festivals. Happy to provide transfers from Melbourne Airport for interstate and overseas travellers!

We recently took The Snail on a 7-night getaway through Gippsland, and it was absolutely perfect! The van had everything we could possibly need and more. The gas stove and kitchenette were fantastic fully stocked with all the essentials like pots, pans, plates, bowls, and even thoughtful extras such as salt, pepper, spices, and a lovely selection of herbal teas. Lisa really has thought of everything! The fridge and freezer were super powerful, keeping all our food perfectly chilled throughout the trip. We were also pleasantly surprised to find bug spray, multiple camp headlamps, and even spare batteries of all sizes such a thoughtful touch that made things so easy. The van itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The mattress was divine, and the clean bedding Lisa supplied made it feel fresh and cozy. The storage compartments especially the one above for clothes and the large space underneath kept everything organized. The high-top roof was a huge bonus, making it comfortable to stand up while cooking or getting changed. We also loved the outdoor setup! The gazebo was super easy to put up and take down, and the built-in lights made our outdoor dinners and nighttime fishing so enjoyable. Having the camp chairs and folding table included was another bonus everything we needed for relaxing by the water or sharing a meal outdoors. Driving The Snail was a dream smooth, reliable, and comfortable the whole way. It truly became our cozy little home on wheels. We cant wait to plan our next adventure and will definitely be booking The Snail again. Thank you, Lisa, for creating such a well-thought-out, comfortable, and charming campervan experience

My partner and I travelled from Tassie for a mainland holiday to get away from the island for a bit and we couldn't have asked for a better or smoother holiday in the Snail. Despite being a winter camping holiday in the van, we were incredibly comfortable and absolutely everything we could think of was in the setup, which made camping easy. My partner is very tall and also had no issues with space. Lisa has done a brilliant job of putting everything you need in the Snail to make your stay comfortable and in general is a wonderful person so we very much enjoyed renting the Snail from her. We will certainly book again if we want to do a van camping trip again. Thanks so much Lisa and the Snail!

The Snail is a great choice and really is well set up for all the things you could possibly want! Dont let the name fool you, this is easy to drive and rolls along the countryside with pleasure - Lisa is always happy to assist and has given much thought into all the things you may need while on a road trip.
